The Crucible Tree
Ryn and Josalind are caught between rival forces that would either use them, kill them, or venerate them as lost gods returned. Their best hope lies with finding the mysterious Crucible Tree. But unlocking its secrets comes with a brutal price.
Leo Valiquette liked an update for THE GHOST TRACKS

Hello,

A quick update about The Ghost Tracks. While the original plan for the novel was to release it in the fall of 2020, the COVID19 pandemic has caused some delays.

Inkshares feels the best course of action is to push the release of The Ghost Tracks to the fall of 2021, and I agree with them. In the meantime, the book is available for pre-order at Wal-Mart and Books-A-Million, with more retailers to follow. I also hope to have a finalized cover to share soon.

Thank you for all of your patience and support. I hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Flintlock epic fantasy that’s a bit dark without going all grimdark. A condemned witch and a traumatized soldier on the run refuse to become the pawns of dead gods who want to murder their parents and a living sword with dreams of genocide.

Like a hospital patient pumped full of dexamethasone, I am experiencing irrational euphoria today that Young Donald is finally out! The e-book went out today and paperbacks go out soon.

If you like the book, please review it on Goodreads and Amazon:

And, if for some reason you don’t like the book, please ask yourself whether you are really qualified to provide literary criticism...come on, not all of us are!

Thanks so much again for the wonderful support! And a huge, special thanks to the Grand Patrons listed in the back of the book, and some others, like the brilliant creative director Jamie Wright and my literary agent (whose commission is paid entirely in beer) Henry Coyle.

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Kingdom of Dreams

To My Kingdom of Dreams Backers,

Just a quick update that I have decided to pull Kingdom of Dreams from Inkshares. I think it will be better served as a true independent project and I have multiple avenues to explore. I can also control the date it’s published if I go the true self-publishing route. I want to be clear, there is no ill-will or menace toward Inkshares, I have backed many previous Inkshares projects and will continue to support my fellow authors, I’ve just determined my project is no longer a great fit for this format.

      What this means to you:

      • Stay tuned for a refund. You will be refunded by Inkshares and should receive notice of your refund. Even if you--like most of us--have been issued a new credit card since my campaign concluded over 4 years ago--yikes!--, the refunded balance should appear on your current card. I will receive notification from Inkshares soon when that will be and send out another quick notification or any new information I can provide.
      • I will be creating a new newsletter in a new format. I have all of your contacts and will be reaching out after experimenting with a few services.
      • The next opportunity to purchase my novel will be when it is released to read as a digital version or better yet, hold the actual physical book in your hands!
      • If you won original artwork from one of my contests, I will still honor getting this to you.
      • I apologize for the slog, obviously 2020 is 2020, but it has been a long while since this journey began, I can’t say enough how you have lifted me by backing this project. I will ask--most likely beg--for your support one last time to get across the finish line.

      Stay well and stay tuned!

      Dream on,

      Kevin

Leo Valiquette liked an update for The Bird’s Road

        Hello All,

For the last time, the manuscript is out of my hands and into the machine. I’ve seen the Elephant.

I’d hoped my mom could have been part of this; that was the plan. I admit, the loss of her midstream took the wind out of my sails.

January 2021, they say, and you’ll have my life in your hands.

If any of you are interested in being part of the marketing - blurbs and reviews - I can provide a PDF of the manuscript proof for your review. Just send me an email:

        amalek7th@gmail.com

Thank you for your long suffering,
