Hello, hello! For those who celebrated, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We hosted at our house and it was really nice to have everyone together.
I wanted to share a couple quick updates with you all.
NEW PROJECT! My short story, Chrysalis, is part of the Writing Bloc’s upcoming ESCAPE! Anthology. This is an amazing collection of stories from some tremendous writers -- and I’m honored to be part of it. You can pre-order your e-copy now (for $2.99 -- price will go to $5.99 on January 1). The e-book version will come out first but there are plans for a print release as well. I really encourage you to grab a copy -- you’ll be glad you did!
Interviews: First, I had a delightful conversation with Sarah from the GSMC Book Review Podcast the other day. The interview is now live, please check it out!
Reviews: Reviews are coming in slowly, but remain very, very positive (latest one on Amazon is 5 star, whoo hoo!). If you have read your copy of Shadow King -- please consider taking a moment or two and putting a review up on Amazon or Goodreads. Reviews are really valuable.
Events: The Arisia Convention has changed hotels in Boston and that may affect the days I’m in attendance. I’ll keep you posted on exactly which days when things get a little clearer.
That’s it for now -- have a great rest of your day!
Best,
Susan

Greetings, Faoii! It is Thanksgiving here, and I am once again so grateful for all of you that supported me and The Last Faoii so we could get this far. Whatever battle you’re facing, I hope that you have people who love you at your back and enough food at your table. I could not have gotten this far without you, and I am grateful to each and every one of you that has stood at my side.
While you’re reflecting on your own blessings, I hope you’ll consider helping a large group of hopeful and aspiring authors to spread the joy of reading and storytelling by pre-ordering Escape!, an anthology of fantasy and science fiction short stories. It features a stand-alone tale of the Faoii universe which I truly think you will enjoy. It’s only $2.99 and will be releasing on January 1st. I promise you’re going to want to read everything the book has to offer.
Click Here to pre-order it on Kindle and Here to get it in one of the other e-book formats.
As always, keep your shields up. We’re all in this together.
Hi, readers!
Guess what? I have AWESOME news! The Fairy Stepmother Inc. has a release date. It’s...dun dun DUN...December 11th! That’s right, it’s really soon! And in time for the holidays!
Actually, if you ordered an ebook, it’s even sooner. Digital copies will be available on November 30th. There’s a good reason for this that really helps me. One of the best ways for my book to be seen on Amazon and other retailers is for it to get some good reviews. So if you ordered a digital copy, you’ll get it in time to read it and maybe leave me a good review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Goodreads. If you enjoy the book (and aren’t, like, my mom or dad--sorry, Mom and Dad), I would so, so appreciate some stars and some good words. If you’ve taken a chance on a book from Amazon, you probably know how reviews help you make a decision. I’d love to be one of the books that makes it into the "Other customers liked..." section.
This also means that it’s a SUPER APPROPRIATE time to make sure your mailing address is correct. Sign in on Inkshares with the email and password you used when you bought the book, and in the upper corner of the screen there should be a little circular icon with a picture. Click on that, and the dropdown menu should have a line that says mailing address. Unfortunately, I can’t look up what address you have on file, but if you have trouble, you can email hello@inkshares.com. Their customer service is super nice and super helpful.
You can still order copies if you’d like! Just pop over to

And while you’re there, check out our official cover art! It’s shiny and pretty!
Thanks so much for your support. You’ve all made it possible for me to say I’m an author!
Best,
Maggie
