C. Aaron Lee liked an update for And the Wolf Shall Dwell

Hi all,

This is going to be my last update through Inkshares.

We have now setup secure checkout with PayPal to re-process your Orders, on my own website.
The book will be published this summer by Blue Poppy Publishing here in the UK. And if you can show faith by re-ordering I would be thrilled.
Btw - there is also a new option for a Hardcover!

Thanks all for the staggering support I’ve received overnight.

THE MADNESS OF MR. BUTLER IS IN PRODUCTION!!!

    ;;;;via GIPHY;;

I got the news today that the manuscript has been sent off to my developmental editor! This is the beginning of the process of turning Mr. Butler into a tangible, readable book! I do not have many details yet, but I will soon. This begins the process of working with the editing, design, and marketing teams, and the process will take a lot of work. It’s estimated that The Madness of Mr. Butler will come out in February or March of 2018!!!

Okay...it’s starting to feel real. This is amazing. When I know more, you will.

Thank you all for your patience and support. I love you all.

    -Michael

It’s weekly update time! Been grappling with the decision of whether or not to accept the Quill light-publishing contract and move on to production, or continue pushing toward the full contract. I’ve come to the conclusion that the differences between the two contracts are just too vast not to continue.

The book is steadily selling copies every day, but not at a rate that will reach 750 in just one month. So, I have extended my campaign through the end of June. I am optimistic that the book can get there. Most who take the time to read the material that is up, feel a connection to the story, and preorder the book.

So, the name of the game now is - reaching a larger audience. Keep in mind that if 750 orders are placed before the campaign end date, that production will begin. So, reaching 750 as soon as possible is the goal! If anyone has any brilliant(or not so brilliant) ideas for spreading the word, I am all ears. If you have not gone through your email list to see if there is anyone you know that would support a book such as this, it would mean the world to me if you could take a few minutes to do that.

In other news, Inigo Online Magazine ran an interview with me earlier this week. Check it out! https://inigoonline.com/2017/03/08/author-of-the-walls-are-closing-in-discusses-her-dystopian-novel/

Update on the book itself: I will be sending the manuscript off to beta readers over the next few weeks so it’s ready to submit to Inkshares the moment the goal is met. News headlines continue to shape the story-line, so I’m continuously combing through the backstory to ensure that the final work is as poignant, yet malleable, as possible. It’s a fine line.

The last couple days I’ve stepped back, intentionally blacked out the number 750 that blinks in the back of my mind, and reflected on the fact that I have sold 335 copies of my first book before it has even been published. This is an amazing feat, and I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you for the support. THANK YOU.

      Until next time,

      -Jacqui

Sorry to have seemingly spammed you all on this rainy Tuesday morning (in Northeast Ohio, at least, it is autumn now. Whereas last week it was winter and it was spring the week before that.)

I am writing to let you know that, although I am still waiting for production to begin, the book still exists. I have sent the first two chapters of the submitted manuscript for your reading pleasure. I will send more in the future. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Please reach out to me with any questions or if you are curious enough to read more. If you have preordered the book, I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to read any bit of the draft that you wish. (Hint-hint, to those of you who haven’t preordered...)

The book is still planned to be released next February from what I know, but consider that date to be fluid. I am still working on the website and bonus reading material for all of you lovely backers.

And fellow authors: please reach out to me for any needs. We are a community, and if we can help each other out then that community only grows stronger.

        That is all for now.

        Love to all,

Another week is wrapping itself up rather quickly, and I will do the same with this update. Just a few points.

The first chapter of The Walls are Closing In was published in Inigo Online Magazine earlier this week! "Inigo Online is an international online magazine centered around people who create, invent or take risks for a project or a dream. We feature writers, artisans, poets, musicians, artists of all types, entrepreneurs, bloggers, filmmakers, foodies, fashionistas, photographers, innovators and more."

The Walls are Closing In passed the 300 order mark, and as promised, there is a new teaser trailer, made by yours truly.

          Future milestone perks!

Let’s keep the word spreading! Just two referral orders from each follower will lock this full publishing deal down. I appreciate each and every one of you!

400 Orders - Audio version of Chapter 1 - Narrated by me. We will see how my voice-over chops measure up.

500 Orders - A limited edition The Walls are Closing In postcard (design to be revealed next week) will be sent to each of the first 500 to order (tipped in upon publication for paperback orders, or mailed for e-book orders.)

          Until next time,

          Jacqui

            3. New Vai’kel Map!

            1. Military Family Charity Donations

Excited to say we have our final pre-order royalties numbers all figured out! The grand total came to $2,806.33 (again, this was triple checked/confirmed by Inkshares)! So very excited to get these hard earned funds to our four designated Military family charities! With February nearly over, it has been both suggested and requested that I wait until next quarter (just over a month from now) to submit, and I will follow up with you all both here and on my blog once the donations have been made!

Additionally, if you all remember, when my Inkshares campaign ended in October of 2015, I also made my own independent $10,000.00 discretionary grant to ’Our Military Kids’ to support their fabulous work. Although not connected to my RUNE campaign or my pre-order charity pledges, I had really wanted to do all in my power to aid these communities. ’Our Military Kids’ no doubt put those funds to good use, and will do likewise with their share the new funds they are soon to receive!

Thank you all for your help and support in this. We were able to raise a good deal of money for some great organizations! Yay!

            2. MP3 Audiobook CD

Shiro has an important announcement! The MP3 Audiobook CD of Rune of the Apprentice is now available! It’s only $9.99 and super awesome! Not only a perfect collector’s item, this is a wonderful option for those who want the audiobook, but just don’t like digital. And no, I’m sorry I don’t think they are making a cassette tape edition, so we will all have to settle with only CDs! I highly suggest you listen to a free sample HERE! Enjoy!

            3. New Vai’kel Map!

Amazing artist M. S. Corley and I are 95% done with the new Vai’kel map! How exciting! For the next update, I think I am going to do an entire post showing exactly how I made it (with pictures of each step along the way) but for now you can have a seek peak below! Again, I cannot speak more highly of M. S. Corley (if you remember he did RUNE’s cover) and am so excited to show you all the finished map soon! Super stoked to also collaborate with him on the cover art for RUNE’s sequel, Oath of the Apprentice.

Alright, that’s all for now! Thank you all for your support with the charity campaign! I am so proud of our community for making this happen! And, lastly, if you have not yet reviewed RUNE on Amazon and/or Goodreads, good god, please do! THANK YOU! :)
