Like the Cylons, I have a plan. (Hopefully it works out better than theirs did.)
Apologies for the lapse in updates. Lots going on of course, but not too much exciting to report--yet. I will start updating and going over some very cool developments sooner than later!
1.) KOD Latest Update
Thanks again to my new readers and supporters. The narrative portion of the book has been given a pretty thorough once over and is complete in body. One more pass to go and it will be sent off to a professional editor. Things should rapidly speed up very soon... Well, at least on my end.
2.) Started new book!
While I’ve been waiting on some things to complete KOD, I have started a new book in earnest. This process is already going light years ahead of KOD and has been a blast to write so far. I will keep you updated and maybe even eventually dare to put up a sample somewhere.
3.) Promotional Author Website/New Art Work
The marketing side has begun. I have some movie posters and pull up/retractable banners for shows being made. I have recast some of the images you’re familiar with, but I think they are vastly improved and certainly more malleable for how I intend to market them.
I will also have an author website up soon. Once that happens, I’ll post about my next giveaway based on registering everyone through the website.
4.) NEXT ISSUE
The long promised guest blog. A possible school visit or two.
Until then, stay well!
At ease, faoii. There are no orders tonight, only words.
I am 28 years old today.
I know it doesn’t seem like a particularly important milestone, but look around you. Somehow, in one year, we have gone from The Last Faoii sitting on my shelf, consigned to gather dust for the rest of eternity to this. An entire army of people willing to lift a blade to make sure that it becomes more than just a dream. That it becomes something real-- a sword for our daughters to wield when it seems there are no more heroines. I had given up a year ago. I knew Faoii was a story worth telling, but had lost hope that it would ever happen. It was on a whim that I decided to try Inkshares for one final charge at an unattainable victory. Who would have thought at the time that so many would come to the call?
I don’t think I ever truly expected to be where I am now. I play many roles, depending on the day. I am a mental health activist, a political blog writer, a teacher, a sign waver... and a faoii. I didn’t expect to be these things-- Blades, on many occasions I didn’t even expect to see this birthday. But now I’m here, and I am, as always, eternally grateful to be able to say that I fight many wars on many fronts-- but there is only one where so many people stand behind me in the name of a tale that no one else but us can make happen.
I know that everything seems uncertain, faoii. Inkshares can’t tell me when our story will be published or even when they’ll request the manuscript that waits so tentatively on that shelf. It would be so easy to lose hope; to regress to where we were a year ago. But we will not.
I will continue to fight for this story until there is no more breath left in my body. And I am honored to have you at my side during the battle. In 28 years, I have never wanted to be anywhere as much as here. Shields up.

THE MADNESS OF MR. BUTLER IS IN PRODUCTION!!!

Greetings Destiny supporters,
The first draft of Destiny Imperfect is complete, and I’m leaving it to stew in its natural juices for a while! In a few weeks’ time, it should’ve marinated sufficiently for me to begin to blend it into shape and bring the final product closer to fruition. If you have yet to pre-order a copy, you can do so here!
In the meantime, Destiny’s stable mate, Sync City, is available to order right now! If you’re into a post-apocalyptic action-filled adventure of man and machine, then Sync City is the story for you. If you are unfamiliar with Jack and his adventures, check out the story at my website: www.synccityjack.com. If this piques your interest, then Sync City is available in all its gory glory from the places mentioned below.
The paperback version is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Book Depository. The ebook Kindle version is available for those in the US from Amazon. For non-Kindle people and those outside the US, the best place to head for the ebook is Kobo. You can also order Sync City, in paperback or ebook format, via the good people at Inkshares right here!
Don’t forget to share and enjoy your day!
Cheers,
Peter
Hey folks, now you all were in on this well before, but the official launch date of Pilot X is tomorrow, March 14.
First of all THANK YOU. Without your support this books wouldn’t be raining down across bookstores, Kindles and Audible accounts. Y’all ROCK!
Second of all, one of those weird quirks of the industry is that it runs on reviews. Amazon reviews in particular. So if I can be pushy just this once, I want to ask you one more thing
WRITE AN AMAZON REVIEW PLEASE?
It’s easy. Just go here: http://amzn.to/2mksOTR And scroll down to the part that says write a customer review. That’s it!
It’s way more helpful than you think to do that and costs you just a few minutes.
Oh and thanks to everybody who’s been sharing pictures of the book in book stores on Twitter and Facebook! Keep ’em coming.
And THANK YOU again from the bottom of my heart for making Pilot X a reality.
Greetings Jackolytes,
If you ordered the ebook, Jack and his ride should be burbling away in your inbox right now. If you’re having any trouble accessing it, drop me a line and I’ll get it sorted out.
I had chat with Scout Woodford about Sync City over at her This Nerd Can blog the other day. If you haven’t read it, you can check it out here.
And finally, Jack syncs or swims (sorry, I couldn’t resist) based on people’s word of mouth and willingness to share. If you’ve read (or are reading) Sync City and like it, it’d be great if you could get it out into the universe. The paperback version is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Book Depository. The ebook Kindle version is available for those in the US from Amazon. For non-Kindle people and those outside the US, the best place to head for the ebook is Kobo.
Enjoy your day!
Cheers,
Peter
It’s weekly update time! Been grappling with the decision of whether or not to accept the Quill light-publishing contract and move on to production, or continue pushing toward the full contract. I’ve come to the conclusion that the differences between the two contracts are just too vast not to continue.

The book is steadily selling copies every day, but not at a rate that will reach 750 in just one month. So, I have extended my campaign through the end of June. I am optimistic that the book can get there. Most who take the time to read the material that is up, feel a connection to the story, and preorder the book.
So, the name of the game now is - reaching a larger audience. Keep in mind that if 750 orders are placed before the campaign end date, that production will begin. So, reaching 750 as soon as possible is the goal! If anyone has any brilliant(or not so brilliant) ideas for spreading the word, I am all ears. If you have not gone through your email list to see if there is anyone you know that would support a book such as this, it would mean the world to me if you could take a few minutes to do that.
In other news, Inigo Online Magazine ran an interview with me earlier this week. Check it out! https://inigoonline.com/2017/03/08/author-of-the-walls-are-closing-in-discusses-her-dystopian-novel/
Update on the book itself: I will be sending the manuscript off to beta readers over the next few weeks so it’s ready to submit to Inkshares the moment the goal is met. News headlines continue to shape the story-line, so I’m continuously combing through the backstory to ensure that the final work is as poignant, yet malleable, as possible. It’s a fine line.
The last couple days I’ve stepped back, intentionally blacked out the number 750 that blinks in the back of my mind, and reflected on the fact that I have sold 335 copies of my first book before it has even been published. This is an amazing feat, and I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you for the support. THANK YOU.
Until next time,
-Jacqui
Princess Gail and I just returned from a busy week in Florida. I golfed with old high school friends in the Clearwater/Tampa/St. Pete’s area and Gail visited her niece, Lana. It is always great catching up with family and friends!
Then we crossed over to the Atlantic side of the state for a multi-purpose side trip. We spent two glorious mornings exploring the Merritt Island NWR. Even before the Spring migration, this is a spectacular site for birders like us. We particularly enjoyed spotting the endangered Florida Scrub-Jay in its dwindling natural habitat.

We visited the Kennedy Space Center in the afternoons. There aren’t strong enough superlatives to describe the things that happened and continue to happen here. We’ll have to come back someday to experience a launch at close range.

On top of all that, one of the reasons I wanted to come to this area was for Mission 51 research, as the final chapters of the book take place around here. It was great to visualize this important geography first hand. It can only make the book better.
Keep your eyes open for the Mission 51 Inkshares campaign which I anticipate to be in the near future!
I’ll leave you with this image of a Great Blue Heron taking flight, which I took two days ago at the Merritt Island NWR.

Peace! 👽
