Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for The Seventh Age: Dawn

Readers and followers of The Seventh Age! I bring you:

                                                    ART!

Check out how the cover is coming along. This is a higher resolution image than I’ve usually been sharing. The final artwork for this and the back cover should be done before the end of June.

After the cover, the first character sketch has come in from my prior request looking for art commissions. The talented artist Lizzy Perez has read the Seventh Age and deemed the character Akira her favorite one. She nailed it! Stay tuned for future updates as Lizzy also has some more artwork and scenes coming in as well.

The final part of this quick update is: I’m 38 readers / copies away from clearing the major benchmark of 1000. If you know anyone who is interested in urban fantasy, conspiracy, and street-tacos, send them over. I’ll be holding a series of 7 raffles after I hit 1000 for all readers on my dashboard. From reader #1 all the way to the final order. Everyone will be eligible. So if you want to be in: you’ve got 38 spots left.

Prizes will range from artwork, tarot-decks, occult books, and some other Seventh-Age themed works. More info on that stuff as we get closer to 1k!

38 more! We can do this.

Brian and Michelle Guthrie sent an update for Rise

    Hey, happy weekend everyone!

I have an actual update for you on Rise!  I finished the proofread of the manuscript last night a little after midnight my time and sent it back to Girl Friday.  It was a good thing I had that opportunity because I noticed a continuity error that was going to figure large once you start reading Fall.  Needless, to say, I’m very glad to have caught it.  Someone I work with stated the detail I fixed seemed a very minor thing to be focused on.  But, it’s the little details like that I think that matter the most in a grand tale.  Sure, I could have left it and altered the story the rest of the way.  But I couldn’t.  Those details are going to explain a lot when you put them all together later in the series.

So, Rise is back in the production team’s hands for now.  Monday they’ll go over my responses and hopefully start making those changes right off.  Assuming I got it all right, I shouldn’t see Rise again in any form I can touch to alter it.

We’re just over three months from release.  Stay tuned for more news on how you can help make Rise’s release a fireworks show of epic proportions!

Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for Tantalus Depths

So, as I announced earlier today, I’m planning on structuring my reader updates in such a way as to deliver more interesting content in a more regular fashion. So, I’ve decided to take up a sort of content schedule going forward. Here’s what I’m thinking for now (highly subject to change)

      • Mondays: Character update. In these updates, I’ll focus specifically on one of the eight characters in Tantalus Depths and tell you a bit more about him/her/it.

      • Tuesdays: Story update. For these updates, I’ll share a bit more each week about the story itself, shedding light on some of the aspects of Tantalus Depths that don’t give too much away.

      • Wednesdays: Recommendation update. These updates will have nothing to do with Tantalus Depths at all, but will instead focus on books being funded by other authors on inkshares that I’d like to shine a spotlight on.

      • Thursdays: Lore update. These mini-updates will focus on elements of the world-building I’ve done for the universe of Tantalus Depths. The things I discuss in these updates may be barely glimpsed in the book itself, and may only even be mentioned, but they nonetheless play an important role in the way this universe functions.

      • Fridays: Vlog update. I plan to do a weekly vlog during this campaign where I’ll sit down and talk with my supporters face-to-screen about how things are going with the book, how I’m doing personally, and whatever else should strike me as relevant at the time.

      • Saturdays and Sundays will be the days when I get the half hour or so of sleep I allow myself every week or two. Other than that, I’ll likely spend them mainly putting together the content I’ll be delivering in the coming week.

On top of this regular schedule, I’ll definitely be sending updates about any important news (like I will when we hit that EXTREMELY CLOSE QUILL GOAL).

Hopefully this’ll be fun and engaging for you all. Feel free to share your thoughts on the idea!

Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for Destiny Imperfect

        Greetings Destiny-followers,

First of all, thanks so much for committing early. It’s very cool that you’ve decided that this is a project worth supporting. We are currently sitting second in the competition, but there’s an incredibly long way to go. I’d love it if you could get out and share the project with those closest to you. And if you’re following but have yet to pre-order, it’d be awesome if you could make the leap and lock Destiny Imperfect into a top three position. The earlier people commit, the better things will be.

        Have great weekend!

        Cheers,

        Peter

Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for Cape’s Side Bay

          Hello Cape’s Side Bayers!

Hope you’re all doing well! It’s the weekend. Finally!

Few exciting things have happened. First, it’s been two weeks since we crossed the Quill mark of 250 and are now at 46% of our full-publishing mark! That’s a total of 347 orders! Amazing! Thank you all so much.

Now for the awesome part of this update. This morning when I woke up I had several e-mails in my inbox, typical. The one that stood out, however, was the one informing me that Cape’s Side Bay had been selected into the THRILLER NIGHT SYNDICATE! Unbelievable. I cannot thank them enough for selecting this book into their club. It is truly an honour to be acknowledge by your peers. Now the Cape’s Side page has a Eid Mar Roman Coin hovering around!

I’m flattered, honoured, and humbled at the selection.

Now, the long long road to 750 and full-publishing continues. I thank you ALL for your continued support for this book. I really enjoy it and believe you will too!

Please keep sharing, recommending, and pre-ordering (y’know, if you haven’t).

          Enjoy your weekend!

          James
