Update time! So I’ve got some more news and some more artwork for everyone!
It’s been brought to my attention recently that my book is pretty damn Metal and brutal.
I’m okay with this. :) To celebrate this, I’ve got some new artwork from Phil Rood and his favorite character in the book Gabriel DeAngelo.
I present you with some unnecessary violence!
Good morning all.
Just a quick update on the progress of the book campaign. We have 57 days left until November 14, and we’re sitting at 169 orders of the necessary 250 to publish. We’re ahead of pace to make our goal, which is the good news. The slightly more nerve-wracking news is we’re ahead by one book. So it looks like this is going to be a tight race. If you haven’t ordered yet, or are interested in ordering a second copy, or want to donate an eBook preorder to help the book get published, I can’t tell you how much I’d appreciate it. But I’d try.
The book itself is in the middle of its seventh and hopefully final draft. I’ve sent the manuscript out to a few fellow authors who have read it and said some very positive things about it. I’m toying with an idea to make the story a little tighter, and hopefully once that’s in, I’ll be finished and the book will be ready for the long process of getting released via Inkshares. And once it gets through that, it’ll be in all of your hands.
So thank you all for the support you’ve shown so far. We’ve got a little less than two months to pull together and push to the end. With the love you guys have shown so far, I don’t have any doubt it’s possible. Only 81 to go.
Keep circulating the link. http://www.inkshares.com/books/blue-water
If you haven’t yet, check out the first four chapters as well at bluewaternovel.com
Thank you all again.

Hello my Knightmares!
We are 13 days away from the end of my campaign, and we are currently sitting at 262 orders! Thirteen has always been my favorite number (see Vexed for more about my writing and the number 13) and I wanted to again THANK EVERYONE who ordered a copy of THE KNIGHTMARES. You helped make this dream come true, and as I wait for the next 13 days to expire, I am feeling a mixture of elation and relief. Thank you, again!
Remember, if you order between now and the end of the campaign, you are eligible for the free swag I am giving away. Bookmarks, posters and t-shirts!
Please check out these other authors who are nearing the end of their campaign and need your help!!
Mothering: The Game - by Regina McMenomy Ph.D. - What happens when a long time gamer becomes a first time mom? Motherhood becomes the most engaging game she’s played. MOTHERING HAS JUST 12 DAYS LEFT!!
Sunshine is Forever - by Kyle T. Cowan - A fiction novel for anyone who’s ever been depressed, or knows someone who suffers from depression. Sunshine is Forever is full of life lessons, but it is ultimately a story about a teenager learning to take responsibility for his mistakes.
The Delicate Art of Soulripping - by Sara - When you die your soul doesn’t just leave your body. There’s a process: ripping, reaping, replacing.

Hey! Long time no update. But there’s a couple of cool things I thought you might like to know about since the book was published. First up this nice interview that fellow author Michael Haase did with me for Renderosity Magazine, along with a review. The link is here, and here also is a link to Michael’s upcoming book that you should check out.

Meanwhile, over at Goodreads, something like 1400 people entered a Women Like Us giveaway. The three winners were selected and books have shipped. Two went to England so, like I’ve said, this book travels more than I do (it’s also been to Cabo, and now Scotland!)
Women Like Us is on the shelves at Vroman’s in Pasadena, Book Soup and Skylight here in LA -- so cool to see it on shelves. Even better would be if they sell out!!
Lastly, a request. As some of you know, Amazon reviews can be key to selling books, and reaching certain numbers of reviews only boosts the book’s profile. So 50 reviews is one great number and 100 even better. We’re currently at 24 on Amazon so if you have read the book and haven’t left a rating/review, please do!! Here’s the link to the page to make it easy.
Ok, I think that’s it for now. Thanks everybody for the support of the book. Keep spreading the word!!

A new countdown has begun....
All things considered, I’m not really worried at all. This is about where we were at the 30-day mark before we lost the false pre-orders and got the extension, if I remember correctly. We’re more or less on schedule. That’s still a lot of orders to bring in, so definitely keep spreading the word!
After quite a long hiatus, I’ve resumed the Friday vlogging process! this time I talk in a little more detail about the hardships and obstacles the campaign has faced, and how I’ve worked through them. Hopefully my experience can help some of you as you deal with your own unforeseen setbacks!

Quick update just to announce this week’s winner.
The newest queen joining the cast of Bad Medicine is Miss Slayer Stone (AKA fantasy author extraordinaire Jamison Stone)
Slayer Stone is the alter ego of Mr. Mayhem, a wrestling superstar who has done drag on the down-low for almost a decade.
Let’s congratulate our winner and remember that you can have a storyline in the book too. Pre-order now and send me your drag name via e-mail or Twitter.
Have a great weekend!
