It is always a pleasure to delve into a fully-realized world and explore with the characters and the author. Added to that the fast-paced narrative and the pages will keep turning. I found the story began exactly where it should and by doing so made me want to find out more. I look forward to the full thing.

One morning, Jeyes is sleeping soundly within the cave. She is soon awakened by the noise of the other Doms rushing outside. Alarmed, she gets up and follows. As she walks out onto the plains, she spots Avalon standing among a crowd of Doms. She rushes over to him.

“Hey, what’s going on?” Jeyes asks. Avalon motions toward the sky. She looks up and can’t believe her eyes as dark, ominous clouds slowly blanket the area. The Doms have never seen anything like this before.
