Mark Jackson commented on The Travel Playbook

Howdy Readers!

A few of you have been asking me, "What am I going to find in The Travel Playbook?"

The tenets that I live my life by are the framing work of the Travel Playbook.  It's a total "30,000 foot view" of how you approach your life, to achieve your goal of traveling the world.  For others, their goal might be a speedboat, or a big house.  Mine is seeing the world's wonders with my own eyes, and never focusing on the things that may keep me from this goal.

The Travel Playbook will focus three things to get you to see the world:

1.  Your Personal Finances

Travel can be cheap, but The Travel Playbook is best utilized with a solid financial plan that focuses your resources on the things that won't "bankrupt you."  I hear too often that "I'm too broke to travel," and that's just a lifestyle choice.  You don't need a ton of money to travel.

2.  Life/Travel Balance

Paired with the above, you'll need to find the right life/travel balance to start traveling for longer than a weekend away.  While this may not be fully realistic for some with families, even a few tips from this section will help you find time to travel the world, even if you just have two weeks off a year.

3.  Travel Plays

The meat of my book is obviously going to be tips and tricks to "game" the travel industry.  Some people call these "hacks," but that sounds illegal and complicated.  Football players get hit in the head a lot, but they are still able to learn the plays necessary to score a touchdown- you will learn these "travel plays" and score, too- like first class flights, 5-star hotels, and lounge access.

I'm deep into writing now!  Thanks for all your support, and please let your friends know about The Travel Playbook!  Let's get this thing funded!
