GUYS GUYS GUYS. IMPORTANT INCOMING ANNOUNCEMENT.
I know, you thought you were done with me for a little while. But this is EXCITING.
Inkshares recently announced a new contest: The List 2016. Inkshares staff and industry professionals have chosen the 35 best books that didn’t get a full publishing deal from this year, and guess what? Yours truly made the list.
Once again, the top 3 in unique pre-order count will get a full publishing deal. It just so happens that I’m currently in 3rd place, thanks to so many of you lovely people. Of course, I’m sure there are a lot of books on the list that are about to make a serious run for the top, so I’ll need to keep pushing to keep my spot. If you know anyone who might be interested in my book, I’d be very appreciative if you passed the word along.
However, this news just keeps getting more exciting. In addition to those top 3, this contest will have 3 guest judges, and they can greenlight any project they want, regardless of pre-orders! So there’s potential for 6 books to get the full publishing treatment, and Evelyn and I could be one!
So, if you wanted to order but thought you’d missed your chance, or you know some people who need to be pestered, I’d be so thankful for your help!
Happy Thanksgiving! (If you’re in the U.S. If not, enjoy the 4th week of November, I guess.)
Best, Maggie
Final Update
I would have done this sooner, but actually finishing the book and then immediately hitting "peak" overtime means I’m not doing much other than working.
To start, I did an audio review for Shawn Furniss’ Inkshares draft The Agoge as the first part of a two-review video, which is the first episode of something I’ll be doing which will ALWAYS include a review I did for this community. Here it be:

First, congratulations to everyone selected for The List 2016 -- very happy for all of you. There are some amazing stories there. I have to confess, however, I’m still a little confused about how this competition and Launchpad will interact.
So, I understand from some comments here and from the FAQ for The List, that for those who are in both competitions, Launchpad "trumps" The List (for lack of a better word) and if those who are in both win Launchpad, then they are eliminated from The List.
However, if you look at the leaderboard for Launchpad right now, the three leading books have all disappeared giving the appearance that they’re no longer in the competition. So it currently shows me in the #1 spot by a single reader, which is delightful but unfortunately inaccurate.
Do those of us who are only in Launchpad need to check both competitions to figure out where we really are in the standings? Or do I clearly need some more coffee because I’m just not "getting it." (which in the week leading up to having both families at my house for Thanksgiving is ENTIRELY possible. :-))
Thanks for any clarity you can provide!
