Craig A. Munro liked an update for Borehole Bazaar: A Vow Unbroken

This isn’t much of an update, but I did wish to mention that, much though I love my cover art, there will soon be an alternate cover by the wonderful artist Caity Hackett.  This change is simply to weigh how heavily the book is judged, proverbially speaking, by its cover.

Also, I wished to express congratulatory sentiments with each and every winner of the Nerdist Contest and my utmost encouragement for everyone who fell a touch short.  That was an exciting, super-fast , mad dash to the finish line and no mistake!  I assure you, if it had been a fantasy competition, I’d have thrown in for keeps, too.  Alas, Science Fiction is fascinating to read but not the least my strength in the writing of...  yet.

In the meantime, here’s a picture of Trooper.  He was adopted a few years ago and, at the last report, spends his days curled all the way around a few,  gods, she must be six by now, year old girl with her back on his side and his head and tail on her lap, all curled up on the couch.  (The jeans belong to yours truly.  The grass is from Golden Gate Park)

Craig A. Munro liked an update for 1000 Faces

Hello, readers. Tomorrow is the final day of the Nerdist Sci-Fi contest. 1000 Faces has been sitting in 7th place, with the same number of readers, for a little while now. In fact, the whole leader-board from 6th place downward has been rather quiet.

To those of you who have preordered 1000 Faces, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me to know that you believed in the concept or in me (or both!) enough to put your hard-earned cash towards it. As it stands, time will run out for 1000 Faces crowdfunding campaign on June 30th. Some time after that, you’ll receive a refund. I still plan on completing 1000 Faces and getting it out to the world somehow. I’ll be in touch with you again once I know how.

While I have your attention, I’d love it if you could take a look at and consider supporting Mission 51 with a preorder:

It’s The X-Files meets The Immigrant, and readers are calling it one of the best sci-fi books they’ve ever read.

Craig A. Munro liked an update for Mutants: Uprising

      Dear Readers,

Thank you so much for your support over the last month. I am still sitting firmly in 8th place in the Nerdist contest, which, as you know, is out of the running. Mutants: Uprising will not be published through this contest - and you know what? That’s okay.

The story is in no way DEAD - it still exists and will be published at some point. However, you will be refunded your money for this campaign after the contest ends.

THANK YOU so much for following me on this journey! It means the world to me.

Craig A. Munro liked an update for The Slave Prince

        MID-YEAR UPDATE

I’m guessing most of you, at this point of time, might’ve completely forgotten about my book. Which is fine by me - a blessing, in fact. However, I don’t want to take your patience for granted. So thank you for waiting. Thank you for understanding. And thank you for, as odd as this might sound, the silence.

Since I’m writing today, you’re probably wondering if there’s good news. Alas, I write this update simply to say I’m still waiting. I submitted my manuscript and all the related documents on March 31st. Since then, I’ve decided to trust that The Slave Prince will start production in its own perfect timing. Silly, I know. What kind of gullible faith is that? However, I choose to believe that the day The Slave Prince is made, is the right day for it to be made. I don’t know when that will be - it could be in 2018 (I hope) - but I believe.

Recently, I wrote a blog post about the perfect timing. It’s sort of my life’s motto (you can read the whole post here: https://jeynagrace.wordpress.com/2017/06/01/the-perfect-timing/). Naturally, I approach this novel with the same mindset. Since it took 3 years to find the right place for The Slave Prince, what’s a few more years? At the end of the day, The Slave Prince is simply a part of my writing journey - it isn’t the finish line.

With all that said, I hope you’ll continue to wait with me. I truly appreciate all you’ve done - supporting the book during the contest, and post-contest with your syndicates (those were such pleasant surprises). I’m looking forward to the day I present you with my book. But until then, believe with me - its perfect time will come.

Craig A. Munro liked an update for Mission 51

We are down to the last few updates regarding Mission 51 and the Nerdist Sci-Fi-Fi Contest. There are only 54 hours left and we are holding on to 2nd place, but just barely. Here are the current standings:

209 for the contestant in 1st place

192 for our Mission 51 in 2nd place

190 for the contestant in 3rd place

171 for the contestant in 4th place

Three of these four contestants will win full Inkshares publishing contracts. The fourth will not! We are in serious need of a few more pre-orders to keep a distance from 3rd place.

Those of you yet to pre-order, this is your chance to make a HUGE difference! Please place your pre-order now!

Those of you who have, you are the very reason Mission 51 has gotten this far! You are the ones who can save the day! I humbly ask that you find one other pre-order among your family and friends, and I urge you to do it soon, real soon.

This will be an exciting finish! I’ll keep doing what I can to bring us new pre-orders. Please do what you can, too. Thank you, everyone!

Craig A. Munro liked an update for Arch-Android

Hello friends and other assorted sentient beings,

If you’re getting this, then it’s entirely likely that you’ve also received an email or two (or three) announcing that the sequel to The Life Engineered, Arch-Android, is now live for pre-order! Exciting!

            Except that it’s not.

            "Aww..."

No, don’t be sad! Or be sad. Practice your human emotions. That’s okay too, but rest assured that this was not a mistake. I fully intended on having Arch-Android be taking pre-orders today. Unfortunately, there’s a problem with the system and being the weekend, it’s a little difficult to ask Inkshares to fix it post-haste.

They’ll get to it though and we’ll repair the machine and we’ll be up and running soon enough. I’ll send you an update just like this one once we’ve tamed the code that is preventing us from moving forward.

Thank you for your support and I’ll be talking to you real soon.

Craig A. Munro liked an update for Rule Britannia

Hey all, so this is it, last day of the campaign and the end is nigh.

While we won’t be seeing Rule Britannia published through Inkshares, there are plenty of other books worth your time, and $. The Nerdist Sci-Fi competition is nearing its end and if I were you, I would be taking my refund/credits and using them to get yourself a copy of Ferd Crotte’s Mission 51.

Head on over to the story page and read some samples, then get in quick and lets help Ferd get over the line!

Craig A. Munro liked an update for Mission 51

Mission 51 continues to (barely) hold on to 2nd place in the contest. It is because of the continuing pre-orders we are receiving. Thank you!

But this is no time to let up. The contest was extended to June 27. We must keep gathering regular pre-orders if we are to stay in the top three. There continues to be large movement in the leaderboard.

                Here are the current standings:

                197 unique name/email pre-orders for contestant in 1st place

180 for our Mission 51 in 2nd place

178 for contestant in 3rd place (continues to move up fast!)

152 for contestant in 4th place (seasoned competitor)

121 for contestant in 5th place

Mission 51 followers who have yet to pre-order, you’re help would be priceless at this time! Well, there is a price, but a simple $10 pre-order might make all the difference between having Mission 51 receive a full publishing contract by this contest or not! Please be a part of crowdfunding this book into existence! Please help with a pre-order!

Thank you very much, everyone, for your amazing, continuing support!

                Peace!

I just sent in the revised edit for The Last Faoii. The changes that were made are FANTASTIC and I’m so pleased and excited to be working with this editor. Together, we’re creating a fabulous story for you. You’re going to love it.

Keep up your fighting spirit and if you know of someone that loves Fantasy, strong women, and supporting new authors, make sure to send them over to our barracks so they can pick up a sword of their own. They won’t regret it. ;)

Shields up. I’ll talk to you again as soon as I have more news.
