A dwarven magus must enter a world he grew up only hearing of. As he strives to find his place and faces numerous dangers (and at least one too many gnomes) his naivete in life and love may bring more danger than any enemy ever could.
Thanks to everybody who has shown interest in the novella The Last Machine in the Solar System. There is now a second chunk of the story available for your enjoyment. This story aims at a higher level of science fiction and explores some complex concepts and ideas. In this section the reader begins to see some of the psychology of Jonathan, the last machine. Eventually he will dive into the history of humanity, all he has seen, and his ultimate purpose.
