Patrick Tebbe sent an update for Fortunes of the Space Sloth

Greetings followers of the Space Sloth,

The big news for today is...;...we have a new book cover! I’ve been working with Adam at Floor 13 Studios to design a new cover and it is now online. Have a look and let me know what you think.

And yes, that is an octa-beetle. Turns out they’re a little creepier than I expected. Who knew? The octa-beetles play a prominent role in the first third of the book and their origins are revealed by the end. Everything ties together (isn’t it wonderful when that happens?).

Thanks for following the book. If you like the new cover and the story now would be an excellent time to post a comment or make a recommendation.

From space it came, a great database... But perhaps the only people who can unlock it must enter a virtual world to do so. Could a group of gamers be the key to unlocking secrets from the cosmos?

It’s Judy Blume meets Ready Player One. It’s an intimate coming-of-age story. It’s a tragic portrait of post-Vietnam PTSD. And it’s all happening during the outbreak of the global contagion that would come to be known as... Pac-Man Fever.

Patrick Tebbe sent an update for Stage Clear

    Welcome to the weekend Squad,

Would you like the good news or the bad news first? Good? Ok...

Stage Clear was featured as one of the top ten books in the Video Game contest on a recent Inkshares blog. The topic was how video games have affected the science fiction genre. In 250 words or less with a response in less than 24 hours. I admit that was a challenge. I mean that’s like a dissertation level topic. Just like Stage Clear my answer focused on the experience though. You can see my response at:

Ok, the bad news. Stage Clear has now dropped out of the top ten. So...uhm, I need a favor. If you haven’t Pre-Ordered could you please consider doing so now? If you haven’t told your friends about the book...maybe you could mention it to a couple?

Regardless, thank you for your great support so far. I’m looking forward to the rest of the contest and following all of the books in it.
