There’s a reanimated mummy on the loose in wild west Jersey. Who’s going to stop him? Does he need to be stopped? And who’s the girl in the t-shirt in the middle of winter? It’s a book about legends, science, heroism, and squirrels.

These Old Bones
Fifteen year old Tommandros must survive the road where brigands wait to steal his powers—or take his life—in order to reach the Summoner’s trials where he must prove himself worthy of his Calling or lose the legacy he never knew he had.
Amanda Orneck commented on Shadow of the Owl

Hey gals and guys,

Just a quick note to thank all of you for your super generous support.  I have 34 readers now, so only 16 to go to reach my goal!  It's all very exciting.

And speaking of exciting, I've started an interview series on my blog.  The first author is Inkshares on C. Brennecke, who's the brilliant mind behind Seven Shards: The Color of Wine(https://www.inkshares.com/projects/seven-shards-the-colors-of-wine).  If you haven't already gotten a chance to fall in love with her book, this interview will certainly do the trick: http://amanda.orneck.com/blog.html

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  What are you planning on reading?  Myself, I just finished The Martian -- so amazing!

Cheers,
Amanda
