Dear Followers and Supporters -
I have been radio silent for quite some time, but I do have news to announce regarding the status of Fae Child.
Since the book funded in March 2017, I finished the first draft in July of that year. After that my family and I had several life changes that stole my energy and attention, including becoming small business owners and having a fourth child. The THIRD draft of the book is now underway with a few small tweaks to accomplish before I send the manuscript in to Inkshares.
At that point I will find out when they anticipate the book being published - there would be a copy edit to do and a few other miscellaneous things.
I have a cover for the book well underway with a talented artist, Aliana Wong ( www.alianawong.com ) and I have updated the cover on the Inkshares site to reflect the in progress work. I am in love with it already.
I also have had a short story accepted into an anthology which should be published later this year. Here is the link to the announcement: https://writingbloc.com/announcement-of-the-stories-and-authors-for-the-upcoming-deception-anthology/
That is all for now! I will send out another update when I am sending it off to Inkshares.
Thank you all for your support and your patience,
Jane-Holly

Happy Canada Day, everyone. 2019 is half over, and there’ve been a number of developments since my last update.
First of all, I’m pleased to report that A Gentleman’s Murder won the silver for Mystery in the 2018 Foreword Indies. This makes a neat little hat trick for Inkshares, with Jacqui Castle’s The Seclusion and Juliet McDaniel’s Mr. and Mrs. American Pie also winning silver in their respective categories.
A German edition of A Gentleman’s Murder is also in the works and set to come out in December this year.
Some long-overdue paperwork was finally completed with respect to the option for the TV rights, so I think I can more comfortably say now that that’s in the works, too.
The most significant update I have to share, however, is that I have since relocated from Montreal to Calgary, a move that takes me to the other side of the continent. I’m writing this from what should be my study for the foreseeable future, once the movers deliver all my stuff.
It’s a new life. Perhaps there will be Bovril.
Until next time!
What’s up my patient supporters. Production on Under The Rug has been slightly delayed—a project in front of mine in the queue was held up a bit. But worry not. I’ve been informed that things should be moving forward for Under The Rug by late May/early June. I’m a little bummed, sure, but I’m trusting the process, and, well, it’s kind of how the publishing world goes. I hear remodeling homes sheds a similar skin.
Anyway, while waiting on Inkshares to get Under The Rug out ASAP, I’m not sitting on my ass. Well, I have been sitting on my ass, but I’ve been writing while sitting on my ass. The new book is called, "Counterpunch", a story about four friends: brain injured Jack, his best friend Rodney, Tommy the Asian priest/world famous stand up comedian, and Jose the gay latino mixed martial arts champion. Led by Rodney, the four friends set out to make all their childhood dreams come true, but neither of them can do it without the help of the others. It’ll make you feel happy, sad, and pleasantly appalled. Good day.
Talk to ya’ll real soon. As always, thanks for the love.
I am overwhelmed at the financial support you’ve all given to GOING, GOING, GONE! Last night we reached our pre-funding mark of 750. You might be relieved to know that I will no longer be requesting that you dust off your credit card and type in your numbers.
Instead I ask that you mention GOING, GOING, GONE! to your baseball-loving friends. If you feel comfortable, bring up the topic in conversation, in email, or social media. PLEASE give out my email address. Mention that I’m on Facebook and Instagram. People can always order the book on Inkshares.
For now we celebrate as if we’ve resoundingly won our division in the regular season. Various levels of playoffs loom (7,500, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 sales), and the World Series (which is a significant book contract for the next novel in the GOING, GOING, GONE! series). But for now, we celebrate, and I say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
Please email me your street address so I can say thank you with a real letter! SteveHermanos@yahoo.com / www.SteveHermanos.com

Good evening. Well, this coming week may be the one we have been waiting for -- I might hear from Inkshares with their assessment of Bane of All Things and whether it has made the grade for publication. Stay tuned with fingers crossed!
Whatever the outcome, know that each and every one of you have my deepest thanks and appreciation for all that you have done and the patience and support you have so graciously provided.
Bane of All Things is of course not the only title in funding on Inkshares. Another is Steve Hermanos’s baseball/time travel mash up Going, Going Gone!, in which a trio of over-pampered, modern-day baseball players are thrust back in time to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
Today, Steve hit the 750 pre-order funding goal, which immediately put GGG! into the production pipeline for publication! It’s a huge accomplishment and a testament to his hard work. Steve is a baseball guy and well tapped into that community. He’s done an excellent job of mustering support from baseball fans and the results speak for themselves.
As I have said before, many titles are selected for publication by Inkshares without hitting that 750 pre-order target and I am hoping BoAT will be the next one.
Until the very last minute before I get that fateful email from an Inkshares editor, every additional pre-order does count to help swing the vote in my favour. So, if you have any inclination at all to order another copy (or your first copy) of BoAT, now is the time! Right now, before you go to sleep tonight!
Happy reading.
Cheers
Leo
