Kelsey Rae Barthel sent an update for Beyond The Code

Hey there wonderful people,

For those of you who might not know, the Beyond the Code campaign is down to 33 days left with only 73 orders till Quill and only 23 orders till the next 50 Point Raffle. If you like what I’ve written and want to support the project now’s the time. If we all pull together we can pull this off and make this dream come true. If you don’t believe me check out Beyond the Code’s page on Inkshares to see what other members of the community are saying. Here is a review from Joseph Asphahani:

Kelsey Rae Barthel’s gift for second-to-second description of the action is captivating. There’s a reason this much action isn’t often seen in a novel, but in the case of "Beyond the Code" it works to great effect. Why? The story begins with a knock-down, drag-out brawl between rival warriors, a fight that defines the relationship between them and plants the seeds of a greater story yet to be told. The first chapter alone is an indication, a definition of this violent world itself, a world I truly look forward to visiting in full when the pages of "Beyond the Code" make their way to my fingertips.

And there are pretty more exciting and flattering reviews like this one to make you want to jump right on-board the Beyond the Code bandwagon. This book has several good reviews and has been recommended by 19 other Inkshares authors and users like you. See what they’re talking about today!

    ONE GOAL DOWN!!  THANK YOU

So we JUST hit the quill goal which means the book will be published it will get an ISBN and it will be real honest book!

You all are the best. I’m so excited to get this story into people’s hands and I can’t thank you enough.

    ONWARD to the full goal!

So we’re a third of the way to the full publishing goal. If we get 750 pre-orders we not only get published but get a full edit and polish, professional type people sweating over the cover art and armies of marketing people planning spectacular things including author events, bookstore placement and more!

So if you can, please spread the word. In fact, mathematically speaking, if each of you convince two other people to preorder, we would be guaranteed to get the full publishing goal. It’s science!

In celebration of hitting this first goal I’m adding a new sample chapter for you to take a look at. I hope you enjoy!

Kelsey Rae Barthel liked an update for The Catcher’s Trap

      Friends

I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was great. This picture, taken at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, is proof of it; and yes, that is some sort of fruity martini. I was told that if I say it is brunch then is totally fine.

Today the Writing Out Loud Syndicate supported its first book. I choose They Are the Last from Elayna Mae Darcy. This is an Imaginative and absorbing book with a strong female hero who will have you cheering for her right away. They Are the Last is also an Inkshares staff pick so you know the book is good.

I encourage you to check the book out, get a copy and help this great author get her book published.

      Pre-order it here.

Also, if you want to support LGBTQ authors and allies on Inkshares, join the Write Out Loud Syndicate. By joining the syndicate, you not only support the community but also will get a copy of every book that syndicate pick, once they hit funding.

      Join here.

This week I’ll be getting a second round of covers for The Catcher’s Trap to share with you, so we’ll be talking then.

      Have a fantastic week.
