Tony Valdez liked an update for Exile, Magus

As you may have already guessed, I decided to skip yesterday's blog post due to the hectic nature of my schedule this week.  This will also be my last update until Saturday.  I've got a fair amount of baking I need to get done today, so I'm going to try to keep this one short.

First, on Exile, Magus.  We're currently at 64 copies ordered amongst 60 readers, and have 247 followers.  This means that 187 of you haven't ordered yet, and if you all were to that would put us up to 251 ordered which is just over the Quill goal.  So, obviously I do hope those of you who have been on the fence or otherwise waiting to order will do so soon since we only have 30 days left in the campaign at this point.  Also just in case there is still some confusion(which would have unfortunately been caused by my own confusion), everyone physical copy ordered will be a signed copy.

Now on to try to spread a little book love to a book I can't wait to read.

Today I want to give a special shout-out to a project here that deserves your support. With 4 days to go, it has just today hit the Quill goal but it deserves even more than that.

Here's a bit about it:

Dax Harrison by Tony Valdez is set in a space-faring future, where an alien war criminal seeks vengeance on humanity, and a celebrated-but-bumbling hero is forced back into action... whether he likes it or not.

To find out more, visit its project page here: https://www.inkshares.com/projects/dax-harrison-2276

OR, read more about it now:

Dax Harrison - Hero. Legend. ...Schmuck.

Ten years ago, Commander Dax Harrison saved humanity from an invading alien race bent on enslaving the galaxy.

Or so we’ve been told.

The details are fuzzy, as the legend of Commander Harrison has been exaggerated through years of pulp novels, made-for-TV movies and so on.

These days, Dax spends his time not-so-humbly enjoying his fame, counting royalty checks and coasting his way toward retirement.

But as he counts the days until he can disappear on a beach somewhere, fate has other plans.

A dangerous shadow from the past puts a wrench in Dax's easygoing existence, and he is forced to finally live up to his legend, whether he likes it or not.

That's all I've got for today, so again please preorder if you haven't done so already, recommend Exile, Magus to anyone you think might also be interested, and help me get over that Quill line as well.  Thanks for all your time and support, and enjoy whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of year.  See you all Saturday for either posting additional Exile, Magus content or another tidbit of Book 2: Exile, Hunted.

Tony Valdez sent an update for Dax Harrison

    Thanks for the graphic, Vincent!

It's official, gang! We are OVER THE LINE!

Dax WILL be published. I can't thank you all enough. The show's not over and there's still a TON of work to do, but for now, I'm over the moon.

Now, a couple updates. First, fantasy author C. Brennecke invited me to do an interview for her blog, Myths, Mists & Musings! She had some great questions about the book, and naturally, I rambled on far too long. Haha. There's also a new exclusive excerpt from Dax to read! Check it all out HERE.

Also, be sure to check out Seven Shards: The Colors of Wine. There's about a month to go and plenty of orders to fill. Let's pay it forward and get another great book published!

And finally, a new special video update! I was planning to release it as a "4 days left" video. I guess it's now a victory video. ENJOY!

          Machiners!

We have entered Winter, officially speaking, but the weather is hardly frightful and our spirits are so delightful. What a day!

First and foremost, my congratulations to Tony Valdez on reaching 250 pre-orders for his comedic SciFi romp Dax Harrison!  Meaning books will be on the way! This is really well deserved. Great concept, awesome writing, hard work - check all the boxes. Also, amazing to see how the Inkshares community really banded together to push a colleague toward the finish line. Love it.

OnThe Last Machine front the beat goes on and such a groovy beat it is.

The Review-a-Thon this past Saturday was fantastic. Thanks to A.C. Weston for coordinating which undoubtedly took much time and effort. It yielded some amazing reviews for the novella, which I am very thankful for. Some of them I have been able to reciprocate already. Others I haven't gotten to yet. But I will. I promise. Thanks to Michael Valdez, AR Patterson, Jason Pomerance, Dave Barrett, and Byron Gillan for their wonderful words. It really does mean a great deal.

We've now surpassed 80 readers!! Thank you to all the new followers and supporters. Because we hit 75, I've conducted a clandestine raffle of unknown scope and substance....

And the winners are Melissa Berg and Peter Birdsall. You have each won a signed copy of Alter Ego No. 91 from January 2010. It's a super cool magazine and has an epic interview covering basically every topic possible with my friend and The Last Machine artist Jack Katz. Here are a couple of images for you:

We're at 81 readers so we might as well shoot for 100. Yeah, why not? Maybe we can do that by Sunday? Let's try. More cool stuff to come if we make it.
