Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for How to Get Run Over by a Truck

    Hello Sweethearts!

I hope that you are doing well and that you’re having an exceptional day! I am sorry to be emailing you twice in one week, but this update was one that I couldn’t wait to share with you.

We have decided to update the cover of the book! The team at Inkshares thought that having a brighter and lighter cover would be more in the spirit of the book itself, so they updated it. I was just emailed the image moments ago, and I had to send it to you all immediately.

I didn’t think that I could love a cover more than the original cover, but I am so over the moon about this new version!  I hope that you like it too!

    Heart,

    Katie

As a reader I felt it conveyed just enough thoughts for an opening to get a sense of her. This is what I took away when I read:

Irusai went out to the desert to basically forget, to not feel or think. When she is forced to by the attack and awakening of whatever it is in her it makes it feel stronger as a reader. I felt the writing conveyed that really well, whether it was by happenstance or planned.

I felt there was plenty conveyed about her thoughts for who I saw her to be in that moment, and things were conveyed without having to expressedly state them: in the tug of her bandages, the fact she bothers to think about the young girl rattling names on the flag rote, etc.

Plus there’s action happening around her for half the chapter.

        Hey Campers!

We crossed the 300 preorder mark! Fantastic! Thank you so much for ordering, and for having faith in this novel!

I just posted Chapter 9 for your enjoyment! In this chapter we see a different side of C. Dermont.

(Also, just an FYI, there are over 50 chapters in this book! The chapters are short. I promise I won’t spoil too much!)

We still have a long way to 750. AND the preorders have actually grown exponentially by the day. BUT I am slowly reaching the end of my network. SO I would love some help!

        WHAT YOU CAN DO:

        1)   If you like the book enough, you could buy a second copy for a friend!

        2)   AND/OR you could ask one friend to buy the book TODAY! (If everyone does this TODAY, we will be at 600 preorders)

Here is a script that you can use to convince them:

Hey Hunter S. Thompson(Insert the actual person’s name)!

My friend’s book has reached the publishing tier on InkShares! I already supported it, and it is amazing! At 750 preorders, he will get wider distribution, AND one of the largest agencies in the country, UTA, will represent the film rights for the novel.

You should support him, and preorder the book too! 750 is a lofty goal, but he can make it with our help!

        Thanks so much!

        PREORDER NOW: https://www.inkshares.com/books/sunshine-is-forever

        $10 for E-Book, $20 for a signed copy!

I can’t thank all of you enough! At this point, my goal is to make the most out of this awesome situation, and the only way I can do that is by reaching 750 preorders! Thanks for already taking the time to preorder! Thanks for your help! And thanks for reading this!

I love this - very Han/Lando, and sets the tone going forward. I might take out the "yeah...so?" and switch the "friends like mine" line with Alexa’s Boy Scout comment, but that’s just a suggestion. :)

“I thought you said he was your friend?”He looks down at the slab-sided auto pistol and tucks it in his back waistband. “Yeah … so?” “You’re quite the Boy Scout.” “Well, with friends like mine, you have to be prepared.”

Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Witherfist

              Hello, readers!

We’re now at 28 preorders. Brilliant!

By now, I hope that you’ve all had a chance to check out the two chapters available to read. A third chapter will be released soon, and following that I’m planning to share some excerpts that take place later on in the story.

For those of you who have yet to pre-order, I’m hoping that this extra content will convince you to take the plunge.

While you’re here, I’d like to take the opportunity to point you in the direction of two other projects on Inkshares:

              • The Decemvirs by Charley Hicks and Christin Gattuso
              • Fae Child by Jane-Holly Meissner
Both of these are being written by good friends of mine. If you enjoy what I’ve been doing with Witherfist, I’m sure you’ll love what they are doing too.

              Thanks for reading!
