So Chapter nine is up and the good news is that I’ve got sample chapters isolated and ready to upload all the way to the book’s midpoint, so there shouldn’t be any more hiccups in updates.
Unless that Oompa Loopa saboteur hits me on the head again and I forget.
The outline for The Price Of A Bullet seems to be progressing more quickly now that I’m focusing on Jovanne’s chapters first. The historical chapters are meant to be an historical war diary mixed with a sort of Art Of War style book. Any good book suggestions, within those styles of literature, would be welcome to help me gear up for the historical chapters.
As always, thanks for following me.
So Chapter 11 is up and this marks the halfway point, and the final sample chapter, for The Agoge. There are still plenty of big events and of course the climax of the book ahead, but if you wanna see them I need to get it published. So if you know anyone who might like this send them in.
Thanks to Michael Valdez for the review.
I’m not sure how regular my updates are going to be for The Agoge, going forward, because I’ve got part of the sequel outlined but a lot of my writing attention is currently on the outline for the next Battle Flag book. But, if The Agoge wound up with a thousand followers I would open up preorders in a second.
I’ll still answer any ideas or critiques you may have just let me know.
Chapter 10 is up and there’s just 1 more to go.
POSSIBLE MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The big possibly spoilery news is that in this next chapter you get finally get to meet the bad guys. The Arzhei are here and, when I wrote them, I kind of had Paul Frees’ Ghost Host from Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion in my head, so Tarmior and Evashion will undoubtedly come off sounding similar. I kind of like it and think that maybe I should write a book where everybody talks like that. :)
Anyway, see you next week for the final drop.
Well I didn’t get a chance this week to pull up some more sample chapters but they’ll be coming, I promise. It’s going to go probably as far as halfway but it just takes time pulling chapters from the original document and I ran out of predrawn chapters. If I can pull together a load of them this weekend maybe I’ll drop two chapters next week.
See yo then.
So I took a deeper look this week at how many chapters the book actually has and found that the mid point is Chapter 11. So after this there will be two more samples before I cut it off. But this is good because before the cut off it’ll get more into Danny’s romance and start to build toward the finale. It’s fixin’ to get into some fun stuff.
So I missed last Friday’s update mainly because the holidays, and local snowfall, blew my plans out of the water, like a tiny Oompa Loopa saboteur. But, I’ve got chapter eight up for all of you fine folks to read. Enjoy it!
Things are still progressing a little slowly on The Price Of A Bullet, but I think that’s mainly due to the fact that I’m jumping between a Sci-Fi Technothriller style and something akin to Red Cliff. Maybe it’s just throwing my rhythm off, maybe it’s a bad idea, I don’t know. What do you think? I’m open to suggestions.
I am at a chapter break in it so I think I’m going to try outlining all of the chapters on Jovanne’s side of the story then go back and fill in the historical stuff in between.
Anyway, see you next Friday, if I can keep the Oompa Loopas away.
