I know everyone is tired of hearing me say thank you, but honestly there’s no way to say it enough. Right now we’re at 146 readers of The Sleeping Man, and every single time that number goes up it makes me work all the harder reviewing books and supporting the Inkshares community. My goal remains the same, 250 readers of The Sleeping Man. As you may or may not know, once the number 250 is reached I will open the pre-orders so that when every reader orders one book it will be published.
Thank you to those who have recommended, shared on Twitter/Facebook, and sent the link to friends and family. It means the world to me.
Sweet Dreams,
Stephen Carignan
Quick exciting update to share!
Today I had the honor of being a guest on the Inkshares blog. I was asked some questions about the relentless community building work I’ve been helping with, and given an opportunity to reflect on the future of the Inkshares vision of a democratic publishing model:

Enjoy -- and please share this. The more readers who know about Inkshares, the better.
p.s. remember a few months ago I rallied to help get Jack Bender’s, The Elephant in the Room to its funding goal? Well, I received my three copied yesterday -- and read it in one sitting. What a great book! Stephen King calls it a picture book for adults, and it comes with high praise from J.J. Abrams and David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Well, I read it in one sitting. What a book! In some parts I laughed hard, but most places touched my heart. Jack has a dark sort of wisdom that’s contagious and it was nice to spend a good hour with him in those pages. Highly recommended! Hello and Happy Friday!
I hope that you all are doing well, and that you’ve had a lovely week. The wheels have been set in motion to make "How to Get Run Over by a Truck" a real live book! It is so exciting to see how the whole book making machine works.
Everyone at Inkshares has been absolutely phenomenal to work with - it has been SUCH a joy! I have had great conversations about the cover design, the editing process and also how we’ll be marketing the book. It is all really interesting, and has been a great process to watch and be a part of! I will keep you all in the loop as I get more and more information.
I also had the honor of being interviewed by the Inkshares blog this past week. In the interview we talk about what inspired me to write the memoir, what was the most difficult chapter to write and most importantly - what I wanted to say to my funders (that’s you!). If you have a moment, I would love it if you gave it a read.
