The God in the Shed is a lot of fun. Seriously, a lot. Today is the Review-a-Thon and I'm behind my quota because I just couldn't stop reading! It's a true page-turner. What I really love is that the scene begins as an innocent but enthralling detective-murder mystery. And then it just morphs into something else. Full of all the stuff we love in fantasy-horror, but it's the unpredictability that sets The God in the Shed apart from the rest. J-F Dubeau always knows where you're going, but you, the reader never will. The mark of a true master storyteller!

I just…can’t…even. Damn! Talk about a PAGE-TURNER! Seriously folks, spread the word about this one. Not only does this deserve to get full publishing by Inkshares, it needs to be shopped around to Hollywood YESTERDAY. With a good creative team, this would make an amazing film. I’ve been reading a lot lately, and I have to say that this is one of the most intriguing books I have read in a long time. I’m giddy as a little kid waiting to read the rest of this. It has an original premise, a great overarching mystery, great pacing, believable dialogue, everything. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to see the ‘movie’ of a story so clearly in my mind as I read. I feel like I am learning from a master reading this. If you like horror, order this now - because Mr. Dubeau is messed up in the head in the best possible way.
