Katie Hayes commented on Twisted Tales for Tacky Children
Hi Friends!  I’m a little out on a limb today, but it feels so good to have you here with me!  The campaign has started, and the pre-orders are rolling in.  It’s so exciting!  Keep sharing, and thank you so much to those of you have ordered already!

Katie Hayes created a forum thread: Good ideas for children's book launch?
Hi authors! I’m about to launch an inkshares campaign for a hardback book called Twisted Tales for Tacky Children-- which is basically an illustrated collection of funny kids poetry.  I’m looking for ideas from other authors on creative ways to do book readings.  What has been successful for others? Public libraries? Local bookstores? (the bookstore thing seems a little awkward, since technically the book doesn’t exist yet.) Mommy groups? What ideas am I missing?  I’m also curious if others  held some sort of launch party when you started your pre-order campaign?  If so, was it successful and what did you learn from it? I’ve been thinking of trying to set something up at  my local coffee/wine shop. Thanks in advance!
