Dave Barrett liked an update for The Punch Escrow

All things literary have been a whirlwind. I’ve recently gotten notified that The Punch Escrow has been selected as one of Kirkus Reviews’ 100 Best Books of the 2017. That is great news! But on the same day I learned that Goodreads didn’t see The Punch Escrow fit to be listed among their selections for the Goodreads Choice Science Fiction awards. What adds insult to a bit of injury is that some of the books that they did nominate aren’t even published yet!

However, there is still some hope. YOU can alter reality! If you read and liked my book and have a Goodreads account, it takes about 4.8 seconds (I timed it) to write-in The Punch Escrow in the Best Science Fiction category. It would mean the world to me. The write-in field is at the bottom of the link above. It looks like this:

All you need to do is type in The Punch Escrow (it will auto-fill) and that’s it—you’ve altered reality!

Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and this book. I’ll be writing a more comprehensive update on what’s going on with the film adaptation next year, there’s just a lot going on and I’m legally not allowed to discuss any of it. But it’s all *good* stuff!

Dave Barrett sent an update for More Fun and Games

    Well, it’s October 22...

And thus ends the crowdfunding time for More Fun and Games.  We did alright- ended with 84 preorders, though this was clearly not enough to reach either hurdle - 250 for the light publishing option, or the 750 needed to give it the same treatment that It’s All Fun and Games received.  On the one hand, I clearly wasn’t knocking on doors the way I did with IAF&G.  On the other hand, there’s only so much pushing and cajoling I was willing to do with the $20 price tag.

Thanks to those of you who did preorder - your credit cards will not be charged.  Thanks also to those random and not-so-random people who have continued to ask me "so when’s the sequel coming out?"  I haven’t forgotten you, and while November and NaNoWriMo (and therefore a new writing project) approaches, my goal is still to get you More Fun and Games at some point during 2018.

Maybe it will be through Amazon’s self publishing.  Maybe I’ll get lucky and land an agent/traditional publisher.  Maybe I’ll just email you the .doc file.  However it works out, I hope that it’s worthy of your time and patience.

I wish you all the very best this fall and winter.  And if anyone out there wants to be my NaNo buddy, hit me up at the website.  My username is llabak.

    Cheers
    Dave

Dave Barrett liked an update for Dax Harrison

So a few of you got your books this week...

It’s pretty surreal to see it out there. In hands. On family bookshelves. Being used as infant chew toys. Even on a store shelf in London! (I’m 99.9% positive that was my friend just sneaking it on there. Still cool though.)

For anyone who ordered and has NOT received a physical copy of the book yet, please keep an eye on your emails. You should have received a shipping confirmation from Inkshares with a tracking number. If you haven’t received your order, or if you have only received part of your order (for those who bought multiple copies), I would recommend getting in touch with the team at orders@inkshares.com. They are friendly and quick to reply!

The digital copies are now also available to download! You should have seen an email come in this week titled "The Dax Harrison ebook is ready!" If not, you can always download your copy from your digital bookshelf at Inkshares.com. (Click your profile picture at the top right of the screen and select Bookshelf from the menu)

      That’s all for now! :)
