Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Illegal

Just a quick update and some math: we are now up to 620 orders with just 32 days left to reach 750. That works out to about 4 orders a day. Since the last update, 11 days ago, there have been 46 new orders which is right on pace. Thanks y’all!

These last orders are going to be the hardest, so please do share this book around and encourage your friends to support this project. I’ve created a facebook event you can invite friends to here: https://www.facebook.com/events/336202026717097/

We are almost there! Onward!

    Journey Over Destination

’Destination: journey’s end,’ - This isn’t a definition, but a synonym. One I found too coinciding not to quote.

For the past weeks, I’ve received tremendous support from family, friends, authors, and strangers. And honestly, I didn’t expect so many people to get behind my book. Such response... I just... well... I just want to say how honoured I am to have you, who genuinely want to see me succeed. You, who have offered you time, money, and resources, to support my dream. You, who could’ve done anything else, chosen anyone else, but decided to invest in me. Who am I to deserve this?

The journey of dream chasing has often routed along a lonely road. Many days, I rely on my own strength to keep going and to keep pursuing. Many days, I swim in the vast ocean of dreams, hoping to catch a glimpse of hope at the horizon. But those days become a memory when I see the hands reaching out and hear the voices cheering me on. Suddenly, I’m not alone anymore.

I realised that when I’m focused on the destination, the world quiets down and the streets empty out. But when I start to actively experience the journey, I begin to see those around me. Similarly, as much as Thom thinks he can save his people by himself, he would’ve never accomplished it without the support of those around him.  So thank you for being here. Your presence means a lot to me.

Now to the last hardcopy of Richard Saunder’s novel, Journey.

Congratulations Nikki Moore! Please check your email inbox.

The poster above is pretty self-explanatory. One winner, randomly chosen from ALL readers, will be announced on Sept 24th. So if you’re still on the fence, hop onto the yard! This is your last chance to take home two books for the price of one.

      A new countdown has begun....

All things considered, I’m not really worried at all. This is about where we were at the 30-day mark before we lost the false pre-orders and got the extension, if I remember correctly. We’re more or less on schedule. That’s still a lot of orders to bring in, so definitely keep spreading the word!

After quite a long hiatus, I’ve resumed the Friday vlogging process! this time I talk in a little more detail about the hardships and obstacles the campaign has faced, and how I’ve worked through them. Hopefully my experience can help some of you as you deal with your own unforeseen setbacks!

        Hello friends!

The air is getting chillier, the leaves show a hint of change, and I just lit my first blackberry cider candle. Could it be... fall?

TIME FOR FALLCON!! Er, I mean, MSP Fall Comicon, October 8th at the MN State Fairgrounds!!

(last year, when I had no idea what I was doing)

I have secured a table for the second year in a row, and though I don’t have a physical copy of my book to offer for sale (like I’d hope I would by now) I might have my manuscript in to Inkshares by then! So we’re going to take that as a win.

I’ll be selling various art prints, handing out more of the free coloring book pages we created during the first Nerdist Inkshares contest, and perhaps even selling print copies of other Inkshares books. Stop by and say hi if you’re in the area!

        ALSO:

There’s a new indie bookstore coming to Minneapolis called Milkweed Books, and they’re crowdfunding their opening on Kickstarter. They will be stocking their shelves and super-cool gallery entirely with independently published books... which could be a match made in heaven for Inkshares authors, no?

So here’s what I’m proposing: if you’re an Inkshares author, go back this project and leave a comment saying you’re an Inkshares author who loves indie bookstores. If you’re not an author, go back it anyway and let them know you’d like to see Inkshares books on their shelves. We crowdfunded people have to stick together, so let’s show support!

They reached their goal while I was typing this message, so there’s no doubt about the project being successful. We all know opening a new business can be precarious, and the more backer funds the better. The project closes in 9 days, so go check it out now!

        :)

Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Ageless

Hey gang. Long time no see...chat...whatever.

If you didn’t know, I enjoy doing this writing thing...like a lot...

(Did you know Ageless was the first in a trilogy? If you read it, you probably picked up on the fact that there could be more. SPOILER - there is more! Follow Timeless here!)

But, I need your HELP to continue doing this writing thing. (Hint - REVIEW AGELESS on AMAZON and GOODREADS)

I put together the following (very) tentative & (very) ambitious production schedule covering the next few years. See anything you like? I hope so! Let me know what you think.

            Hello Katerina,

I am glad to see your numbers of followers and recommendations steadily growing! That will SO help when you finally decide to start funding!

I have a question for you: Did you produceThe Winterlands map that you show in your last update? If so, did you use a specific program? I LOVE it! I would love to produce several simple maps for my Mission 51, and would love them to have the quality your map does.

            Thank you!
And good luck with Children of the Dire! I know many of us are looking forward to reading t someday!

            Peace!

            Ferd.

Two updates in one day? It’s for a good reason, I promise! The Rite of Passage Syndicate has selected Fae Child as it’s pick for September. We’ve been updated with a badge, and everything!

The syndicate says: "Fae Child is exactly everything the Rites of Passage Syndicate hopes to accomplish here on Inkshares.com. Meissner has crafted a winner!"

Thank you so much to the Rite of Passage Syndicate! This means a great deal to me. Onward and upward!

Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Single Version

Tomorrow is the day these critters come skitter-scuttling to your front step. SINGLE VERSION officially publishes 9/13. TOMORROW.

For all of you expecting paperbacks, they’ll be shipping any day now. If you ordered an e-book, you should be getting it today.

When it reaches your beautiful eyeballs, take it on the train with you so everyone can see Susie Kirkwood’s breathtaking cover design, and when a stranger asks you, "That book looks so attractive and yet...repulsive," you can say, "First of all, that wasn’t a question. And second of all, this is SINGLE VERSION. It’s part sci-fi, part horror, part cyberpunk, and it is creeping me the fuck out. Please, stranger, would you check my back for roaches. See any? None? I feel them there. No? Great. I LOVE READING!!"

I can’t believe this day is finally here. Thank you everyone for your belief and support. I truly hope you dig the story and that it resonates with you. And if it does, please tell someone about it. Write a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Toss it up on your blogs, your Facebooks, your Instas. Pitch it to your book club. Any help spreading the word is wonderful, appreciated help.

And I’ve got another project in the works...more on that very soon.

In the meantime...please enjoy SINGLE VERSION.
