Joseph Asphahani liked an update for The Seventh Age: Dawn

Monthly Update! So, my publication date is now 11/1/2016. Much closer. I have 3 days left to finish my line edits. I’m on schedule. That stuff is boring.

WE HAVE COVERS TO VOTE ON!!!

Okay. Here is the deal. Tweet me @crankybolt or email me, or even comment here. Each of these covers is a design direction.

Not the final cover. By any stretch. These are just looking at which avenue we should head down.

Option #1

This cover is filled with arcane imagery in an organic cover design where text blurs with the artwork. If you think we should head in this direction, even with different colors and would like to see more usages. Vote for this one.

Option #2

This cover is closer to the original cover art. The intent of this design path is to create something that is more like an arcane tome. A spellbook one could hold. If you like this direction. Vote here!

Option #3

This one is the most off putting at first. Yet it’s important to know that this is just a place holder for an Illustrated cover with a character (Mike) in his green trenchcoat with the black sun on the horizon. Or of his coat tattered on an I-beam above the Chicago Skyline. I know it may be hard to visualize, but if you like that design direction. Vote here!

Option #4:

Don’t like any? Then say so!

Send me your gut reactions and your initial feedback! Tweet them out, email me, or throw paper rocks at me with notes on them.

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for The Children of the Forest

Hey everyone, it’s time for another update from your’s truly.

First off, I wanted to just take the chance to post this great sketch of ~Euwin Cohmwell~ which will be included in The Children of the Forest’s art booklet. This is the first of three pieces, all drawn by the wonderful Andy Barry. I quite like his style, and can’t wait to show off the other two scenes he will be drawing for the booklet.

Secondly, I have the names of the two chosen winners who will both have a chance to create characters for The Children of the Forest! Barbara Heathcock and Thomas Arnold, you are the lucky winners. I will be reaching out to each of you shortly, to oversee that process. So congratulations, and I look forward to hearing your input!

Finally, work continues on the book. I have begun edits, and looking ahead, March will be devoted to coming as close as possible to finishing the manuscript for final edits. My general updates will be fairly limited until the novel is finished, but I will occasionally drop by to update things where needed, and keep backers informed about the status of the work. I want to thank everyone again for backing The Children of the Forest, and I promise the wait will be worth it~~!

Anyone familiar with my own story can quickly see why this intrigues me: Mankind letting their animal natures define them? Very cool concept!
      Savage Zone
      Savage Zone
When technology allows man’s inner nature to be holographicaly projected as animal features, humanity has divided between Predator and Prey. When the penal ship Proper is marooned on a distant planet, the galaxy’s most savage must work together.

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Sync City

      Greetings Jackolytes,

Napoleon Bonaparte said an army marches on its stomach. Jack Trevayne says Sync City marches on because of its readers. Today Sync City hit 100 readers - thank you all so much.

Sync City is about halfway there in terms of pre-orders and about halfway there in terms of funding days remaining. Here’s another interesting Napoleon Bonaparte fact - as a result of the Napoleonic Wars, canning was invented. Here’s another interesting Jack Trevayne fact - Jack likes beer. At the moment Jack’s can is half full. He’s not a half-full kind of guy. Buy Jack a beer - get friends and family on board and have them pre-order Sync City. Thank you again.

      Cheers,

      Peter
