That time of Tuesday again.  Update time.

I'm still excited about the upcoming funding model change, and for any of you who have been putting off preordering just remember that Thursday 10/29 will be your last day to do so at the super-low price of $9.99(said in my best infomercial host voice).

Because of the change to the funding model (specifically the lowering of full funding from 1,000 orders to 750 orders) I have also decided to restructure my order-based chapter release schedule a bit as well.  I'm going to slide everything down a tier from where it was originally placed.  So now I'll be posting up Chapter 4 tomorrow(sped up a little so everyone will have time to read it before the change).  The rest of the releases will be as follows:

50 preorders(only 10 more to reach this):  Chapter 5.

100 preorders:  Chapter 6.

250 preorders:  Chapter 7.

500 preorders:  Chapter 8.

750 preorders:  the climactic Chapter 9.

1,000 preorders:  Chapter 10.

2,000 preorders:  Chapter 11.

5,000 preorders:  Chapter 12.

Why the sudden jump at the end you ask?  Well, the chapters in this book are a bit longer than usual, so Chapter 12 is the last, and I don't want to make it too easy to convince me to just post up the entire book.

Because I'll be posting up Chapter 5 this week I won't be posting a map as well, a change which has nothing to do with the fact that the map of the Zaltruscan Empire is large and more complicated than either of the two previous maps.  Alright, it does, and there's no way I was going to be finished with in time for a post this week.  Hopefully I will have finished it by next week, and the orders will have kept coming in so that I can post up both Chapter 6 and a map next week.

That's all I've got.  Thanks for you support, keep reading, recommending, and for those of you haven't already ordered please do so.  Also don't be shy about commenting/reviewing or following me on any of the other pages I posted links to on the project page.

Joseph Terzieva liked an update for Ghosts of War

Ladies and gentle men, I come to you with some good news, nay....great news.

Ghosts of War is getting published by Inkshares.

How can this be you ask? Well, today Jeremy Thomas (Inkshares' CEO) announced some changes to the way Inkshares will work going forward and the changes mean only good things for Ghosts of War.

You can read the full blog post about the changes here, and I recommend that you do: http://blog.inkshares.com/post/131749557025/inkshares-funding-goal-announcement

But these are the most important points for right now:

    • Since it is over 250 copies sold, Ghosts of War qualifies for Inkshares' new 'light publishing' option. This is what Inkshares has to say about the new option:

Any project that reaches 250 pre-orders will qualify for the “light-publishing” option with a new, yet-to-be-named Inkshares collection. These books will receive a light edit, an ISBN, and limited distribution (including physical and digital on Amazon.com). Backers will receive physical copies printed through our print-on-demand service. We will reserve the right to push any of these books through our full production process, and as with all of our books, the rights will remain non-exclusive if the author wishes to publish elsewhere.

So that's pretty awesome, but there is a small catch: After October 30th the pre-order prices are going up.

    • From then, it'll be $20 for a paperback and $30 for a hardcover.
    • There will also be a $15 International shipping fee. US shipping will remain free.

Now this bit is all in bold because it's the most important of important things.

If you pre-order a copy of 'Ghosts of War' before October 30 (or have previously pre-ordered a copy), you will still get it for $9.99 with free shipping.

Any copies ordered after that will cost more, so if you've been on the fence about it, please, dive in, especially those of you who are in Australia or other non-US countries. Right now is when you can get the best deal.

In closing, I want to thank every one of you who's ordered a copy so far, you got me here and it's because of you that Ghosts of War is getting published. I can't thank you all enough.

I think it's going to take a while to sink in that this is really happening, but until then...we can have a party.
