Joseph Terzieva liked an update for The Battle for Oz
#InksharesHoliday

(Just in case you didn't read the Inkshares email, here I am hoping you'll read mine.)

In celebration of Inkshares' first anniversary and this holiday season, a site-wide 'Buy 1 Free 1' promotion is being thrown. If you buy any eligible physical, published book on Inkshares, you'll get another copy for free! That free copy would make an awesome Christmas gift, if you ask me.

This promotion ends on December 11, and is limited to one free copy per order, while stocks last. So quickly get your copies of The Battle for Oz, box it up in red, and you'll have the most Christmas-y gift ever. You know, cause it's red and green? Yea.

Looking back at 2015, I feel blessed being one of the 17 authors to have their books published by Inkshares. It was during October to December 2014 where I started crowd-funding The Battle for Oz, and I never thought I would be here today. So, I just want to say another thank you for all the support you've given me and my book. I would not be writing this update if it weren't for you. Thank you!

Anyway, do check out the Inkshares promotion and the other books in store. Forget about socks and chocolate this year. There's definitely a book for everyone, so go for books. #BooksForChristmas

    Good friends,

There is nothing I love more than to tell stories. Writing books has been such a source of enjoyment in my life for the past few years that I keep hunting for new ways to make novels and get them in front of people. Between improving my craft and learning how this complex and evolving industry, I try to find as many opportunities to create as possible. But sometimes, it’s the opportunity that finds you.

This is a bit of news I’ve been holding on for a few months now and I’m elated to finally be able to talk about it to some degree. It’s my pleasure to announce that apart from The Life Engineered and (hopefully) A God in the Shed, I will be publishing at least two more books in the next few years.

The two books will be written for The Ed Greenwood Group; an ambitious enterprise set up by none other than Ed Greenwood himself, involving dozens of writers and other creatives, spanning over fifteen different settings and reaching far into the next few years. I was recruited by my friend Eric Belisle who did the cover for The Life Engineered and has been working with Mr. Greenwood on this project.

The first book and setting for this undertaking were announced on Halloween. Your World is Doomed is the first book of the Hellmaw setting and you can already order and read it.

The books I will be working on are Still Waters of Tarkania, which is set in the For Wolf & Empire setting, a swashbuckling, steampunk historical fiction with werewolves. Because everything is more fun with werewolves. Still Waters of Tarkania will be released in June of 2017.

The second book is Alsecia’s Sun, set in the Under Deadly Stars setting, a far-future hard sci-fi world where stars are being destroyed by an unknown force. This one will see release in June of 2020.

    My plans

While I am loathe to over-commit, these two books are now part of my ongoing calendar of works I hope to create in the coming years. Assuming I can find publication for all or most of these, I will be able to keep telling the stories I want to tell.

It’s ambitious to think I can write and publish two books a year while holding onto a full time job, but I’ve always known that if I wanted to be a writer it meant essentially having a second job. My hopes are to be able to write three or four books a year for as long as I have ideas for stories to tell. Obviously that dream depends on being able to write as my only occupation.

While the books published with The Ed Greenwood Group are not going to be funded on Inkshares or under their imprint, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to keep a close relationship with Inkshares. I plan on funding the sequels to The Life Engineered along with the other two books in the God in the Shed trilogy on this platform, along with other ideas that are bubbling inside my brain. In fact, I’m so involved in this platform that I record a weekly podcast with fellow Inkshares writer Paul Inman on the subject of writing and crowdfunded publishing. You can check out the WriteBrain podcast on iTunes or on this website.

Thank you so much for your support, friends. Consider pointing others to both The Life Engineered and A God in the Shed. The bigger these two first steps are, the faster I can get underway on this journey of story telling.

Monday workday is winding down -- almost time to get off of my employer's dime and back onto my own, hopefully preparing another chapter for your enjoyment or some promotional material to add to your ranks! Good times!
Also, a message as ever to my fellow Inkshares crowdfunders: remember that I will happily and immediately reciprocate any preorders - if you pledge for FEYSIDE, I will in turn pledge for your work! Let's help each other meet our target goals!

        Hello,

Thank you so much for your interest in Shadow Incandescent. I'm excited to announce a new, ebook-only option now available for preorder. It's available for half the price of the paperback, while still offering 100% of the story. What a great deal! And hey, why not share the link with your friends on social media? I bet at least one of them would like to read it, if only they knew it existed. That's a problem you can solve!

As soon as I reach 25 preorders, or 50 followers I'll post chapter 3.

        Thanks again, and keep reading.

          Good morning friends!

Exciting news: Because the funding model changed a bunch of times over the course of the 3 months The Fable Hunt has been on Inkshares, we have been given a deadline reprieve. Today would have been the last day to get people to buy copies, and now I have 20 more days to spread the word. It's pretty exciting.

I still need to sell 184 copies to reach a publishing level that will get The Fable Hunt full editorial and marketing support from Inkshares.

Possibly even more exciting than the announcement that I have 20 more days to reach that goal is the newest funding model they announced. The $10 ebook option is back!

So if you know someone who is a big fan of their Kindle or their Kobo, send them my way.

As always, spread the word about Penny, Learid and their friends. I'll be continuing to tweet and tumble and facebook the message myself.

          Have a great Tuesday!

Thank you for the support me. As you know I've not been sending chapters I've written in order for them to be shared. At this point I'm only interested in completing my book in the time allowed. Once it's finished, I plan on sharing it with any group that wants to listen. Whether it be churches, The Salvation Army, or Poverello House I'll be there to entertain some less fortunate, or someone needing to hear a positive message. Good luck to everyone, and I thank you.
