James Rasile liked an update for SideScroller

    Hi, everyone!

I promised a neat little SideScroller surprise last weekend, and unfortunately it’s not quite ready yet. It’s still in the last few stages of post-production, but I hope to have it to you ASAP.
In the meantime, I just wanted to thank y’all for your support, patience, and overall greatness.
In particular, fellow Inkshares users Tabi Card, Evan Graham, and James Rasile. I never could have gotten HALF this far without their help, advice, and web-savvy skillz (I spelled ’skills’ with a Z because their skills are literally too good for a mere ’S’). They’re also supremely gifted folks when it comes to weaving words and I can’t urge you enough to check out their works Scirbbles, Tantalus Depths, and Cape’s Side Bay, respectively.

I may have dropped to low rankings in the contest, but it ain’t over till it’s over, and hopefully my upcoming surprise will rectify this! So stay tuned, folks, and thanks again for all the help!

      Weekend Author Spotlight!

This weekend I wanted to highlight a few authors whose projects have caught my eye! I am focusing specifically on those that are funding.  I’m sure many of  you have already come across these titles but just in case you haven’t take a gander, follow, and help these gifted wordsmiths achieve their goal.

      The Sleeping Man

The last of the dreamwalkers seeks for answers in the long lost Compendium, but the greatest mystery lies within his own past.

“Carignan draws you in the world of dream effortlessly. The Sleeping Man coaxes the reader to enter the dreamscape of an elegant, otherworldly land. Get lost in the dream!”

      Borehole Bazaar

A slight twist on the traditional hero, the protagonist fails to escape capture and emotionally breaks before finding inner strength.

“Magnificent worldbuilding! The culture is palpable and thriving. It jumps out at you so fiercely you can almost smell the Borehole Bazaar. Beyond the well-crafted world, you find characters that feel like we do, fear, love, and stress. It feels real and stays engaging.”

      The Traveler’s Cup

I’m being boarded onto a military-grade starship about to be launched into the middle of a civil war between the Star Dragons and Celestial High Wizards, hoping to make it through alive. No one has completed this mission. Tri-annually for centuries we’ve sent ships and not once have they returned.

“Dude Star Dragons and Celestial High Wizards! Do you honestly need anything else?”

      Mechcraft

A teen with the ability to control a swarm of shape-shifting nanobots must use his power to turn the tables on the warring factions that want to control or destroy him.  It’s The Matrix meets Harry Potter in this fast-paced sci-fi thriller.

"It’s all about the suspense! Fitzpatrick has blended the awkward nature of being a teen with the elements of nanobot puberty. The dialogue is fresh and feels natural.  The action is well paced and leaves you white knuckling your tablet as you read! Mechcraft is fun, engaging, and downright clever! When do I get my nanobot powers?!"

      Tantalus Depths

The Diamelen’s survey mission to Tantalus 13 takes an unexpected turn when the entire planet turns out to be an ancient artificial structure. What lies in the heart of Tantalus? And why is the crew’s AI, SCARAB, willing to kill to keep its secret?

“I’m sorry, I can’t do that Dave! This harkens back to 2001 but gives hard science fiction a serious upgrade. The suspense of deep space exploration is ever present in the depths of Tantalus 13. Tantalus Depths gives hard science fiction a face lift by keeping you floating down the river of intrigue!”

      The Last Faoii

After her monastery is attacked and her sisters slaughtered, young Kaiya-faoii is left alone to fight back against her uncle’s dark army, or watch him enslave an entire nation.

“Gritty, bone-crunching, blood-soaked action! Disorientation, confusion, and gore punctate the dark, gripping intro to this promising adventure!”

          Greetings from Tennessee!

Open skies and open carry. Can you even smell the freedom? I do, and it smells like freedom and the state law which requires creationism to be taught in public schools, hmmm, yeah, freedom.

We are twenty orders away, and after my sixth round of emails to my followers I’ve only had two people demand to be taken off my email list. Joke’s on them because I got three orders off that last round and if they think internet trolling will stop me.... mwahaha. Now I have a stable place for a week (free WIFI) and I’m 20 orders away from Quill. That means publication. That means I will become an author. That means, I will ascend to a higher plain of existence, and I will show this fact to my ex-wife who will look at me and say, "Why are you showing me this? I already pre-ordered, I’m happy for you."

Yes, that’s right, I have a reasonable ex. Can you imagine? Where does she get off, supporting me regardless of personal differences? Ugh, it makes me sick.

Oh, the whole point of this is to help me reach Quill. We’re 20 away. Let’s do it!

          Sweet Dreams,

          Stephen
