Feeling very Lumbergh this morning, appropriately while sipping my morning coffee. Officially past the halfway mark, but there's still a long way to go in a short time. The good news is that Inkshares has pushed the deadline to December 27th. 40 days, 124 books to go. Wish me luck!
To my fellow Inkshares authors: If you have any marketing tips and suggestions for me, I'm all ears. I've bothered all friends & family, online contacts and so on, and littered my surrounding neighborhoods with paper flyers. I haven't been able to find any author/publishing conferences around, and all the local comic cons have come and gone.
I would like to give a nice shout-out to the staff at Comics-N-Stuff at the Chula Vista mall and Mysterious Galaxy independent book store in San Diego, who not only let me post a flyer but were also super interested in the book!
Feel free to message me HERE. Thanks guys! :)

Good morning friends!
Exciting news: Because the funding model changed a bunch of times over the course of the 3 months The Fable Hunt has been on Inkshares, we have been given a deadline reprieve. Today would have been the last day to get people to buy copies, and now I have 20 more days to spread the word. It's pretty exciting.
I still need to sell 184 copies to reach a publishing level that will get The Fable Hunt full editorial and marketing support from Inkshares.
Possibly even more exciting than the announcement that I have 20 more days to reach that goal is the newest funding model they announced. The $10 ebook option is back!

So if you know someone who is a big fan of their Kindle or their Kobo, send them my way.
As always, spread the word about Penny, Learid and their friends. I'll be continuing to tweet and tumble and facebook the message myself.
Have a great Tuesday!
Rachael
Three quick things: (1) I have a few author's copies left for those who've not yet taken me up on my offer to send a signed First Edition hardback of One Murder More as a gift to someone on your behalf! If interested, please email your request to me at kris@kriscalvin.com with the intended recipient's name and address (or their email if you prefer they get an ebook.) This is a small thank you to you for your support, and a way for me to introduce new readers to my work who might not otherwise find it. For those who already sent in your requests, your gift books are on their way (unless you asked me to hold shipping for the holidays). (2) One Murder More is a "Top Pick" for suspense at Night Owl Reviews! I was especially honored because the reviewer notes she doesn't really "care for politics". I figure if a political mystery novel can win over an apolitical reviewer, that's pretty good! https://www.nightowlreviews.com/v5/reviews/dawncolclasure-reviews-one-murder-more-by-kris-calvin. (3) Newly-launched anthology Tinsel & Temptation features six award-winning and critically acclaimed women authors across genres on a holiday theme. There's urban fantasy (a 2-yr old who can throw flames from her fingers), a tale of ghostly spirits set in modern NY, fast-paced historical fiction on the prairie, contemporary erotica starring a kidnapped Santa, a college student's coming of age story, and in my contribution lobbyist Maren Kane is back, attending a holiday gala at a senator's home where a murder occurs, and this time Maren is a prime suspect! Tinsel & Temptation is available now on Amazon in paperback or ebook. I hope you'll give it a try for yourself or as a holiday gift! http://www.amazon.com/Tinsel-Temptation-Eileen-Rendahl-ebook/dp/B014X2JI3A
It's my birthday today, and guess what the big highlight has been?

That's right! After overwhelming feedback from readers this weekend -- all of it near unanimous in support of switching to the new funding model and qualifying for the Quill imprint -- I decided LET'S DO THIS!
As of now, Blood Dawn has reached its funding goal! Blood Dawn will at the very least be published under the Quill imprint (click here to read more about what that entails).
However, we still have until April 11th to push hard and get Blood Dawn to 750 pre-orders. If we can do that, then Blood Dawn will be published as a full Inkshares production, with all the added perks.
Either way, Blood Dawn will be a print book and an ebook, which means it will get out there for readers to enjoy! All of you who have supported this book and the many who have emailed me expressing your excitement for Blood Dawn will soon be able to read it -- hold it in your hands, live Rena's story the way I've been living it for the last 14 months.
So, if you haven't pre-ordered this book, or if you've been waiting until it picks up a bit of momentum, now you can jump on board knowing your pre-order is going toward helping Blood Dawn reach 750 pre-orders so that it will get full Inkshares support including more in-depth editorial, design and distribution services. Most importantly, you can order knowing this is a book you will get to read no matter what.
Visit Blood Dawn's new page and order here: https://www.inkshares.com/projects/blood-dawn
You'll notice if you visit the Blood Dawn page that there are now four options:
Here's to Blood Dawn, and THANK YOU for your generous support. Without you, none of this would be possible. You've helped me live my dream, and I promise, this adventure is just getting started.

(I don't feel like this needs any context at this point. Just... space wolf angel.)
