Hey book backers- 

The list of chapters in our final manuscript is now set. ’My Place Among Men’ grew from 15,000 words last spring to 50,000 words this spring. Heckuva growth spurt. All of those words are sandwiched in 34 chapters that are divided into three parts. Part I, Hiding, is about me growing up. Part II, Chasing, is me as a reporter. Part III, Finding, is me as a mom. That sounds like a lot of "me" but don’t worry, all three parts still put outside inside a book.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to give you a quick update on the state of my manuscript. The first 15 out of a planned 22 chapters are complete and in pretty good shape, and I just recently uploaded revised versions of the first 10 chapters to Inkshares. If all goes according to plan I should have a full first draft on my hands sometime in May.

I plan to begin the pre-order campaign around then, so anything you can do between now and then to help me spread the word would be greatly appreciated. One of my main platforms for promotion will be Twitter, so I invite you to follow me at @mattfarloly and I’ll be sure to follow you back. Right now you can help me expand by audience by sharing a link to my book on social media, or by recommending it on Inkshares to your followers. Any second you can spare, even just reading this update, means so much to me.

Good morning! Thanks to a Super-Reader pre-order by Hala H yesterday afternoon, we reached 375 pre-orders.

Why is that number significant? It is 50 per cent of the default pre-order goal of 750.

But as I have said, 750 is not our goal. Some titles published by Inkshares have reached it. Others have achieved success through a combination of other factors. Bane of All Things’ fate now rests on total pre-orders to date plus the overall support and interest it has also garnered on Inkshares.

Remember, this campaign ends on April 1 -- hopefully the joke won’t be on me :). Any and all last-minute support does matter as I wait to hear what BoAT’s fate will be. If you haven’t already, please pre-order another copy as a gift, or recruit that friend or family member. Let’s get to 400!
