Joseph Terzieva liked an update for Rise

Tis the season to look out for others.  So, here's an update to help a fellow author!

Today I want to give a special shout-out to a project here that deserves your support. With 4 days to go, it still needs more pre-orders!

Here's a bit about it:

Dax Harrison by Tony Valdez is set in a space-faring future, where an alien war criminal seeks vengeance on humanity, and a celebrated-but-bumbling hero is forced back into action... whether he likes it or not.

To find out more, visit its project page here: https://www.inkshares.com/projects/dax-harrison-2276

OR, read more about it now:

Dax Harrison - Hero. Legend. ...Schmuck.

Ten years ago, Commander Dax Harrison saved humanity from an invading alien race bent on enslaving the galaxy.

Or so we’ve been told.

The details are fuzzy, as the legend of Commander Harrison has been exaggerated through years of pulp novels, made-for-TV movies and so on.

These days, Dax spends his time not-so-humbly enjoying his fame, counting royalty checks and coasting his way toward retirement.

But as he counts the days until he can disappear on a beach somewhere, fate has other plans.

A dangerous shadow from the past puts a wrench in Dax's easygoing existence, and he is forced to finally live up to his legend, whether he likes it or not.

Click the cover link to be taken to the Inkshares page where you can pre-order a copy:

Would you like some more incentive (Besides your new favorite sci-fi adventure comedy with a reluctant hero, fast-paced action, swashbuckling and more)?! How about a fancy coffee mug to go with it?

For every 10 book orders, Tony is raffling off a mug featuring the book's spectacular retro sci-fi cover art! Buy a book and join the fun!

BUT HURRY! The book campaign ends DECEMBER 27TH! ORDER TODAY!

I completely support more followers backing this book (naturally.) I love the concept and the point of view is unique. I hope to see this get to at least Quill.

      Happy Holidays guys!!

I've got a bunch of credits about to expire; reach out if you want me to support out your project or swap orders! Email me at jliggan.com or Twitter @lamplitug

As always, a huge thanks to everyone supporting The Talkers are Talking! Funding ends mid January so I don't think we'll make the full funding option, but Talkers will be published with Quill and that is entirely due to all of you. Thank you thank you!

      Love,

      Janna

          Everyone!!

The Review-a-Thon happened and it was AMAZING! Call me foolish, but I didn't really understand how much the positive reviews for my book were going to mean to me, personally, as an author. There was a lot of goodwill flowing around the world of Inkshares this weekend, and I LOVED IT!

Byron Gillan, Renee Horsman, Alan Tucker, Jamison Stone, Craig Munro, Thomas J. Arnold (seriously, man, I cried), Rochelle Germano, and A.R. Patterson - thank you so much for your kind words about She Is the End!

Here's the link to the livestream, which is saved on youtube for all posterity:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pSOpnFYGMM&feature=youtu.be

Chrome crashed on me about 60 seconds into the live broadcast, which was exactly what my stress level needed at that moment, hahahahaha *internal screaming*. But the rest was great! Go watch it!

Sincerest thanks must go out to the following amazing people, without whom the entire event would have been lonely and boring for me, sitting there all by myself:

          For kick-ass hosting abilities:
          JF Dubeau
          Paul Inman

          For giving awesome interviews:
          Gary Whitta
          Rick Heinz
          Jeyna Grace
          Jim McDoniel

For being helpful, interesting, creative, supportive, and brilliant:
          John Robin
          Joe Terzieva
          Amanda Orneck
          Christine Brenneke
          Tony Valdez

          And for pretty much everything:
Jeremy Thomas, Adam Gomolin, and Matt Kaye at Inkshares

I'm not really seeing things with much perspective right now, because for me this was a huge amount of work with fabulous results... so I'm kinda just reeling. It was just one day, but man. A supportive writing community is a glorious thing to be a part of.

Thank you, really, everyone who participated.

I have already been scolded extensively for not jumping at the chance to talk up my book during the livestream. I was in producer mode, guys! Give me a break!

I need to get better about that. So, in that spirit, I'll say: pre-order my book!

Relai's not going down without a fight! Milo is a big muscly marshmallow! Tannor doesn't take any crap! Goren doesn't know what's going on but he's probably gonna shoot somebody at some point! And Ky's just along for the ride, no secret angst here, hahahaaaa!

          Pre-order it!

And thanks. Really. Thank you, everyone.
