Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Deus Hex Machina

Hey all! I’m in the thick of it with chapter 8 on Deus Hex Machina, and things are getting CRAZY. Mechs and Goldfarmers and hexing, oh my!

But I want to talk to you about what I’m working on after DHM. I’ve joined an all-star writing team to put together an anthology all about my second love (after writing) -- video games. It’s called Too Many Controllers, and will feature stories from me and 14 other writers from Inkshares. I am SUPER DUPER excited about this guys, and have been itching to tell you about it.

Today the project went live and I’d love if you checked it out and backed it. Here’s a link: https://www.inkshares.com/books/too-many-controllers?referral_code=302fcf04

If you have any questions about the project, I’d be happy to answer them. I’ll give you a hint as to what my story will be about: It takes place on the Grid. Want to know more? Preorder today and find out!

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Tantalus Depths

    Here we are!

Tantalus Depths has finally hit 200 pre-orders! 202, actually, as of this moment.

I cannot begin to express how thankful I am to have reached this milestone. We are now only 48 pre-orders away from reaching the Quill goal! However, I have no intention of stopping at 250. Tantalus Depths will go for the 750 goal no matter how far away it may seem now. You’ve helped us get this far, you can help us get the rest of the way!

As a reminder, I’m still running a promotion: if Tantalus Depths reaches 250 pre-orders by June 5th, I will make my short story, The Perspective Machine, immediately free to download for a short time. That’s ten orders a day for the next five days. Our record is 25 orders in a day, so this can definitely be done! Talk to your friends and family, bring in as many new supporters as you can. Quill is within reach!

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for SideScroller

The video game contest is in one day! To celebrate, I’m going streaking through my hometown!

To celebrate in an even BETTER way, I present to you all the new book cover for SideScroller! (I’m computer-illiterate, so I have no idea how to post the cover into this message. But you can just visit the SideScroller page to check it out in all it’s fiery glory!)

I can’t take any credit for the beautiful artwork, though. That’s all thanks to fellow Inksharian (is that a word? I’m making it one) and talented writer, Tabi Card. Check out Tabi’s page, particularly her book "Scribbles"! You rock, Tabi!

I’ll see you tomorrow for the launch of the contest! Thanks so much for following SideScroller. I can’t wait to show you what happens in it.

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for The Bones of the Past

Good afternoon, evening, or morning depending on where you live!

There isn’t a lot of news to share about The Bones of the Past right now (though that should change very soon). This update is really to draw your attention to an event Inkshares is holding this week called Draftshares. The purpose of which is to draw attention to all the projects on the site that have not switched over to the pre-order stage, but are looking for some feedback and to add a little polish.

Head over to Inkshares.com anytime between May 30th - June 4th, give a few authors some constructive feedback on their work and be entered in to win all kinds of prizes (including a free copy of my book when it finally launches).

Full details (including the prize list!) are available HERE

But that’s not quite all. As the current lead of the Epic Fantasy Syndicate, I was asked to pick out five particularly interesting projects to recommend within the genre. The following books are those that really caught my eye:

         Author: Thomas J Arnold

        Book: Exile, Magus

        Twitter: @Thoasoold’s,

        Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/redthomasjarnold/?fref=nf

        Author: Joe Roe

        Book: Legion’s War

        Twitter: @JonRoe4’s

        Author: Lauren Drube

        Book: The Elements: Decension

        Twitter: @LaurenDrube’s

         Author: Louise Lindell

        Book: The Vanguard’s Incursion

        Author: M.R. Laver

Book: A Tale of Mist and Shadow

Thank you all for your patience and continued support – I hope to have some big news to share with you in the next week or so. Happy Draftfesting!

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Lady Timekeeper, Book One - Cities in the Dust

          Hi All,

This is MK. I have posted a new chapter for your reading pleasure. Chapter 3 is an introduction  of the Time Enforcer and the mythos behind that area of our future. This is a first draft so keep that in mind.

I don’t want to keep you because it is technically a Holiday weekend. So read and share with your friends. And you can send us a message if you have a question.

          Have a great weekend,

          MK
