Congrats Chris!  Really liked the book - I'm having my pediatrician wife read it next so she can see inside the adolescent boy's body image issues.

I'm excited to have The Body of Chris on Kirkus Reviews! Here are a few pulled quotes:

"Addiction, disordered eating, and manic depression are each, by themselves, tremendous hurdles, and the mere fact that Cole has weathered all three makes his account remarkable."

    "A unique, compelling narrative."

"A colorful, faith-based memoir of recovery."

Dave Barrett liked an update for Monkey Business

      Hello folks!

My wife is currently on a plane somewhere over America doing a final read through of Monkey Business. Once she's done with that I'll be sending in the manuscript to Inkshares. Presumably they will try to turn it into something a person might actually want to read.

I don't know if they've completely worked out the light publishing process yet but we'll find out together. I'll let you know more as I know more.

Thank you all. Thank you so much.

        Humans,

The 'borrowed' cover art is now obsolete. I can now say that the entire book is original!

Also, I've begun putting up some A5 flyers all over the city (Perth), so if you happen to spot one, maybe just pretend to walk up and say (just loudly enough), "Oh wow, I think this is so cool, I'm going to scan the code and see where it goes to!".

For those of you who are going, "Hmmm... I can't let Vincent do all this hard work! I paid for the book, and so I want that book to be the BEST** it can be!" FEAR NOT! Please use the following link: TCCG A5 flyer

** Note: Although the book will be published at the 250 pre-order funding goal, the attention and effort that will go into the book by inkshares + girl friday (editors) will not be as fantastic as if I hit the 750 pre-order goal.

Anyhoo... hope you're having a great week so far! LLAP \V/,

Thanks to Cory Wyszynski (author of U-Turn at Next Synapse, check it out yo!), I'm going to be a published author!  But the journey is not complete, I still want to hit the magic 750, and I will not stop trying until the last day!

Thanks to everyone who have made this possible, although I may not be able to thank each and everyone of you in person, I will certainly make sure that you hold a special place in my consciousness.

To my 22 Sentinels, your efforts have been exemplary, and I salute you. \V/,

To those of you who have yet to pledge your support, you have 96 days left!!

Dave Barrett liked an update for The Elephant in the Room

              Dear Friends,

I wanted to reach out to those of you who generously pre-ordered my book, “The Elephant in the Room.”  Since I began this process with Inkshares, I have learned a lot about the world of publishing and the time it takes to get any book, let alone a unique one like mine, out into the world.

When you supportively pre-ordered the book months ago, I’m sure you expected it to arrive in a reasonable amount of time.  I was admittedly naïve about what a reasonable amount of time was to design, edit and proof a book, and get it into bookstores. Working with the talented, enthusiastic designers and editors at Inkshares and Girl Friday has been very gratifying and only made my art/storybook better.

The release date is now mid-March, even though we hope to get your advance copies to you a bit sooner. There will be some events, art shows, etc. to celebrate the release and I’d love to see you there so I can thank you in person.

I am very proud and excited to share the book with you all.  And, again, I apologize if you expected it sooner and hope it will be

              Thanks again

               - JB
