I'm a picky reader when it comes to fantasy: there's just so much of it out there that's cookie-cutter samey-dull. But I love this intro! Visel throws us right into the action, and creates the foundations of a world with minimal explication. Bravo!

Interesting premise, especially as I love historical mysteries and have a fascination with WW1. Well written too, from what I've seen.
