Hello everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that I am in full writing mode! I have been able to devote 2 to 3 full days a week to writing and am looking to get my final draft to Inkshares and Girl Friday Production by June 1st latest. According to average production time from there, the publish date would be somewhere in September or October! Thank you so much again for making this possible.

Next, I would love to send you all along to a project that a friend is spearheading and I will be contributing to. I am reaching out to all of my writer/reader friends and thought many people on Inkshares might be interested too. Here’s a brief synopsis:

Tale Spinners is an initiative dedicated to providing free fiction to the public.  We are a collaboration of writers, poets, and artists from multiple walks who all have one underlying commonality: we believe in the power of story telling.  Our goal is simple - do what we love, and bring others along for the ride.

In layman’s terms, a small coalition of artists and aspiring authors have come together to pump out some great stories --- for free.  Our question is: who is interested?  So we’re running an experiment (blame our lead organizer for this one).  Check out our link below:

Thanks again and I hope you are all well!

Congratulations, Janna! Be sure to drop into the Quill club folder on our Goodreads group and introduce yourself as the newest member. Some great marketing collaboration going on there!

Congrats, Janna!!!

I'm so excited to announce that The Talkers are Talking has met its Quill goal and will become a part of the collection!!  I just want to say thank you to all of you lovely, wonderful, generous and supportive readers.  I couldn't have done it without you, and now as I start the long road to publication, I promise to do whatever it takes to make Talkers the best it can be. More updates to follow (also in regards to Breaking the Bechdel Syndicate- hell yea people, we are really making a formidable group against manic pixie dream girls and other depth-less female character tropes), but for now, thank you, thank you.

Hello everyone!! Just wanted to let you know that for 10 bucks a month (or two lattes) you can help indie authors get their book published (and you get a copy of each book too!) With encouragement from some of the wonderful people at Inkshares and the backbone of the entire community, John Robin, I've decided to launch a syndicate that will search out and support stories with a strong female leads. If you can't contribute, please spread the word! I'm thinking of it as a great way to read more every month in a unique Book Club sort of way.

Much love xx

"Oh I do believe in you, yes I do...Live without your heartbeat. Love without your sunlight. I, I can't live within you."

Grieving for the man who stole my world. Much love to all readers who are feeling the same! Here's a pic of my fiance and I from this past Halloween, as Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (as close as we could make it as we were traveling abroad...so we stole some influences from Halloween Jack). An update on Talkers will follow soon. R.I.P Starman.

Happy Holidays guys!!

I've got a bunch of credits about to expire; reach out if you want me to support out your project or swap orders! Email me at jliggan.com or Twitter @lamplitug

As always, a huge thanks to everyone supporting The Talkers are Talking! Funding ends mid January so I don't think we'll make the full funding option, but Talkers will be published with Quill and that is entirely due to all of you. Thank you thank you!

Love,

Janna

Hello readers!  First if all, I have to thank the wonderful A.C. Weston for her amazing efforts; I don't know about you, but I was blown away by the inaugural Review-a-thon! And I would not be upset if this became a frequent event ☺

Next, thank you to the reviewers who were sent to my page (and those amazing few who weren't)for taking the time to read my story and share your reactions. It means the world to me and really revives the passion to get back to it! I am eagerly reviewing back and have been amazed by the stories that I hadn't stumbled upon yet. For starters, you have to check out Munro's Bones of the Past, link below:

https://www.inkshares.com/projects/the-bones-of-the-past

I  was so taken with Munro's characters that I read every bit he had posted before writing me review. Then I read it again! Nial and Zuly are quickly becoming my favorite character to follow.

Next, for magic, sacrifice and an urgent sense of the epic, check out Berg's Prophecy of the Stars, link below;

https://www.inkshares.com/projects/prophecy-of-the-stars-0264

The sweet sadness and coming danger is alive in every word and I promise you won't be able to put this one down. There is poetry, there is magic, and I think there is a budding female protagonist who will carry us through an unmatched tale of vengeance.

In other words...I am so grateful for the two I was assigned, but I definitely didn't stop there! There are too many amazing projects to mention, but I just want to send a shout out to Cory Wyszynski's U-Turn at the Next Synapse. Link below:

https://www.inkshares.com/projects/u-turn-at-next-synapse

His story is told with a grit and no-excuse brutality that will hold you breathless as you are thrown between two completely different worlds. Check it out; you won't turn back  😉

Next round of business: Syndicates! I have been exploring the idea and am sold. Watch for a new one very soon (just trying to get through grading a million papers and final exams before the semester officially ends on the 22nd). I am excited about starting one and hope I can pull a few of you in to help me support incredible authors every month in a pooled effort!

Lastly, I have a ton of credits about to expire, so please, if I haven't backed your project yet, pitch it or reach out at jliggan@gmail.com or on twitter @lamplitug. I try to support all the ones I can and am sure I have missed a few! (Also, as always, would love to swap preorders too!)

Much love and I hope you all have a splendid holiday season!!

Janna

Hello everyone!

First, I am so excited to have won the first mug in the Dax Harrison Giveaway!! If you haven't checked out this amazing project yet, you are seriously missing out. Here's a link to the video of the drawing (Tony will be doing a giveaway for every 10 orders he receives, so you have a great chance of winning!):

And here is a link to Dax's story:

Secondly, I have been doing a lot of thinking about the issue with declining populations in post-apocalyptic worlds (like the one in Talkers), and was feeling a bit overwhelmed with the endless possibilities....when I stumbled upon an amazing article about how quickly vampires would take over the world and run out of their food supply, even accounting for different vampire models. Awesome to say the least. People have actually done studies on this. If you're interested, here's a link:

Next, I realize how important social media is, and admit I have been really lax about it. I honestly didn't think Talkers had a chance, and now that it can definitely be published with the Quill option, I'm gonna start picking it up.  If you want to follow me on Twitter, I am posting updates and articles on writing under my literary magazine handle @LamplitUG and will be making pages etc soon.

Lastly, thank you, as always, for your incredible support. I have been writing away, but will possibly post another chapter soon. Don't want to give too much away =)

Much love,
Janna
