Wow! I am very impressed with the writing & vivid inagery. It immediately draws the reader into the story. The end of the chapter was Totally unexpected! Now, I really want to know the back story leading up to it!!

This section about the 'strange medal' makes me very curious, too...

"As I gently set it back down one particular medal caught my attention. One I’d never seen before. One I’d never even heard of. A dark violet ribbon with three silver stripes through the middle held a hexagonal medal made of what looked to be lead. On it where seven stars connected into a strange foreign constellation. There was some writing around the outside in an alien script."  Alien??? Hmmm!

Imerest & curiosity definitely peaked!! Can't wait to read more!!
