Chapter 3

The Kingdom of Parallel Realms

In the morning twilight of summer sun

When the glorification of His Majesty has begun

Angels dance under His Throne

To bring thy light of Mercy upon all living beings

That encompass all parallel realms

I thank you Lord, thy All Mighty One

For bestowing upon our senses to witness your divine glory like none

The key to traveling through parallel realms is divine belief in the KING

Because you see, reality is physics, reality is quantum and what has been observed throughout the centuries is that the more you understand the more you see.

Then suddenly an interruption. Alfred found himself running through a narrow dark and seemingly endless corridor, darkness surrounded him and then a flare of light and he saw that he was standing beside the wizard who was now showing him something and talking. How much time has passed? He thought to himself, then listened to what the wizard was saying,”You see before wizards die, they bind a part of their souls to something in this world to act as a medium between realms and books are usually used as mediums.”

“Why?” King Alfred asked.

“Because wizards can communicate their thoughts through writings and erase and add, etc. so books were the most practical to use as mediums, with the exception of one, the elder.”

“The elder?”

Yes he was the most powerful and most magnificent and feared wizard to have ever lived. He died not before binding his soul to his great grandfathers hat, The Great Elder Hat of Magicka.

“You don’t mean the hombre hat, do you?” He said, thinking that there’s no way that silly hat is the great elder hat.

“Oh is that what it calls itself there?” The wizard said with a smile, he explained,”

You see, when realms break or overlap, those who have been created by magic are weak willed and thus unable to keep their mind from weakening, thus they are caught adrift between the conscious and subconscious, getting affected by other auras or souls near by. Like the elder hat, despite extending his life beyond normal years and binding his soul to the elder hat, his will is not strong there as it is in this realm.”

“What realms do you speak of?” He asked demanding an answer.

The wizard now appeared to be uncomfortable and even scared? “Forgive me your majesty,” he began, “this paral-“

Buzz buzz, Alfred awoke to his phone alarm. He was having a very important dream, but what was it about? He couldn’t be bothered to remember. He sat up, the afternoon sun was out already. Today was Sunday, his day off.

He felt surprisingly full of energy, he got up.

As he was getting dressed, looking forward to a normal but fun sunny Sunday afternoon, he heard sound came from inside his pillow.

“Yo amigo, don’t forget about me.”

It was the hat! That bastard, Alfred felt his blood boiling, he was angry, mad, furious, he started breathing hard his body began to transform. Muscles broke in, with thick pumping veins giving way to huge arms that almost ripped his shirt long sleeve shirt. He started pacing around the room as if caught in the middle of a transformation into a terrifying dragon.

“Tawaqaf,” he heard the hat say. And he transformed back to normal. “What was that?” He thought. The hat remained quiet.

Suddenly his pillow vanished and the hombre hat appeared in its stead. In a very serious voice, the hombre hat said in an unusual yet threatening tone, “you are bound by the book of Kings not to reveal your true form in other realms before the time coming,”

“May I remind you of your oath? “I, King Alfred, cease all of my ancestors powers into the hands of the elder one until it is time or I am no longer king of the realms.”

He remembered placing his hand on part of a glowing yet dark book that was both enormous and Pixal at the same time

He was wearing a velvet cape, dark red with black linings, he had a long sword in its sleeve tied to his belt and in the other side was one of those floating orbs in the library  and a glowing staff.

“Yes yes I remember,” his king persona came into power.

“For I have sworn another oat, to protect my kingdom and thrive it once more!”

“Now, king,” the hat said

It was in that same strange intimidating tone, the elder wizard was apparently very proud and referred to kings as “king” without feeling the need to use formalities as he thought himself their equal or even above them.

“You must heed my words. You have been broken into another parallel realm, similar to our own in structure but with different natural and metaphysical laws, now I’m trying to work on fixing the situation at hands but use your dreams for they are awakenings into parallel realms, and never trust the one who calls himself the “hombre hat!!!”
