Brain looked back and forth as he carefully studied the two funny looking characters who stood motionless in front of him. "Well, ain't ye goin' to say hay?" asked the Brain.

"Why you . . . you . . . you're a monster!" Sam exclaimed.

"So what! You're a talking dog! I hate being called a monster! Please don't call me that" Brain said as he began to cry.

"Ok, ok, I'm sorry" Sam said. "What are you so upset about anyway?"

"Me true love has disappeared and I miss har so much it hertz me".

"I'm on a missing person case myself,” Sam declared. "Maybe we can work together!"

Sam, the lady and the Brain continued on their journey. When it started to get dark, they decided to lie down on the ground and rest for the night.

When Sam awoke, he found himself staring in the face of a giant snake with huge fangs! He cried out and woke up the lady and the Brain.

As the three of them began to run away  with the snake chasing them, they ran right into two giant trolls. "Argggg",said the trolls. "You can't get past us!"

Sam, thinking quickly,  pointed toward the sky. "Look!, there’s an alien spaceship!" When the  trolls turned to look where Sam was pointing, Sam and his new friends ran right  past the giant trolls.

"That was too easy!" Sam said.

As they  continued their quest, the trio ran onto a bridge where they almost fell into  the water because there was no railing.

Suddenly, a very ugly beast appeared on  the other end of the bridge. They had no idea what this creature was; they onlyknew that it was pretty ugly, way uglier even than the ugly lady.

"I am Grulam, I am very mean and greedy" said the creature.

"Grulawn?" the lady asked.

"No!, he said Grulam", Sam interrupted.

"You'll have to get past me if you want to cross this bridge safely," the creature taunted them. "If you fail to get by me come morning's light, I'll throw you all in the river!"

"Oh, my!" the lady whimpered. "Man, you sure are ugly!"
