Reech watched the young man through his window, noticing that the young man had enough lights on to brighten the entire King’s dungeon. The young man was listening to music as well, his ears could faintly hear some obnoxious sounds coming from the upstairs window. The young man was alone for the first time in a long time, the house empty aside from household pet cats. This worlds cats were different in only one format from his cats-his cats had wings. These cats did not. It was a startling difference, and a sad one as well.
The young man was shouting at something, letting the music drown out the words. He sounded stressed, afraid, and alone as he shouted into the light of his bedroom. Reech couldn’t help but smile as the boy sounded strong, even despite the stress, fear, and loneliness that were attached to his strong screams.
The King’s favorite Ranger, Reech, grabbed hold of a spell that he’d been saving for a special occasion and began to whisper the words that would allow him into the young man’s quarters without being noticed until he was already there.
It was time to bring the young man into his world.
It was time to bring a hero to defeat the darkness that swept across his lands.
