There are few authors in this world with the capability of forcing you bodily into a story and dragging you from the front cover all the way through to the last page. Michael is one of those authors. I spent 5 hours reading this entire story without even realizing that an hour had passed; he had me that captivated. As a mother, I empathized with Maggi, even as I cringed over the choices that she would make at times. Michael did an amazing job at having me believe that his characters were real. I did not once doubt Maggi's feelings for those around her, even while wanting to make her see how her actions demonstrated the exact opposite.
I look forward to reading more of Michael's stories in the future.
