Act 1 Scene 3

SCENE 3: IN THE HOUSE OF SAM AND LOUISE 

Sam does the dishes in the sink, their house. 

LOUISE: "Well I think we should be thankful full that Ozzy is allowing us to go to Dentin…"

SAM: "Oswald is not ’allowing us’, he’s making us." 

LOUISE: "He is giving us the opportunity to see new places." 

SAM: "He doesn’t care about anyone but himself." 

LOUISE: "He saved your life!" 

SAM: "He saved no one!" 

Silence 

LOUISE: "We should be greatful for all he has done…" 

SAM: "He hasn’t done anything." 

LOUISE: "He allowed someone as unqualified as you to work for him." 

SAM: "Then why don’t you go marry him? If you think he’s so great why don’t you just marry him?" 

LOUISE: "You don’t think I would? If I could, I would. At least I wouldn’t be married to the man who almost sold our civilization for some... some... Tramp!" 

SAM: (Sam turns around and looks to Louis) "You take that back!" 

LOUISE: "Everyone knows how much of a.... Tramp she was!" 

SAM: "At least she’s wasn’t an idiotic drone!" (Throws a plate on the hard in the sink, plate shatters and cuts his hand) 

Louis runs to bedroom crying, Sam washes hand and bandages it with a bright pink cloth 

(BITCHIN’ IN THE KITCHEN, BY RICHARD O’BRIEN) 

Sam looks at Louis who is softly crying in the bedroom. 

SAM: (to blender) "Dear blender Oh won’t you help a first offender," (to toaster) "Oh, toaster Don’t you put the burn on me," (to refrigerator) "Refrigerator, why are we always sooner or later Bitchin’ in the kitchen or crying in the bedroom all night!" (to drawer) "Dear knife drawer, now won’t you help me to face life more?" (to trashcan) "Oh, trashcan Don’t you put the dirt on me!" (to coffee machine) "Oh percolator, why are we always sooner or later Bitchin’ in the kitchen or crying in the bedroom all night!" 

LOUISE: (to pillow) "Everything used to be OK But I’ve been had and I’m glad to say, we’re on our way!" (to alarm clock) "Micro-digital awaker, why are we always sooner or later?" (walks to bathroom, sings to shower curtain) "Bitchin’ in the kitchen or crying in the bedroom all night Shower curtain, Oh won’t you help me to be certain?" (to toothpaste) "Oh, toothpaste Don’t you put the squeeze on me!" (to box of hair removal cream) "Depilitator, why are we always sooner or later Bitchin’ in the kitchen or crying in the bedroom all night?" (to camera) "Tell me spectator, why are always sooner or later ’ in the kitchen or crying in the bedroom all night!"
