Made for the Mountain

One day there was a mom mountain goat and here son Leroy. They lived on a very tall and rocky mountain. Leroy didn’t like to jump on the tall and rocky mountain. He had never even tried. All the other goats loved to jump on the mountain. They leaped and jumped and hoped and skipped so fast so quickly it frightened Leroy. The next morning Leroy ate breakfast and was off to school. When he got to school he saw his friend Jeff. He was always willing to try new things unlike Leroy. They were very different but still very good friends. When the time came for recess all the goats laughed at him because he was to scared to jump on the mountain. When Leroy got home he decided to try to jump on mountain. In his head he counted down “ 3,2,1 JUMP!” “OW!” Leroy shouted. He had fell and broke his foot. After a week Leroy never jump on the mountain until his mom told him “ When you fall the first day you get up the next!” So that’s what Leroy did. He jumped again. “OW” he said. “keep going!” His mom shouted “you can do it!” So Leroy tried again. “I did it!” he screamed ‘ I did it!” Leroy was so proud. The next day Leroy entered the school with excitement and joy. When it was time for recess Leroy jumped from rock to rock like no other. All the other goats seemed to be surprised. Leroy learned a very common and valuable lesson. He learned to be confident, to keep trying, to never give up and to always try his hardest no madder what.
