First Contact--Summary
2150
A medium sized asteroid hurtles towards Earth, while tracked by the humans, they don’t think much of it, until it breaks up into three pieces in the atmosphere. Each piece hitting a different spot on the planet
Within 24 hours, illness and disease spreads; in the sea massive fish kills, the Amazon starts dying, people who were healthy just a day before become deathly ill. It’s a type of plague, but no one is immune, the professionals sent into quarantine whole villages/towns, cities, also fall ill within hours.
At hour 25, nine UFOs are seen, in groups of three they head directly to the affected areas. Humanity is already in a panic, but the added UFOs cause smaller breakouts of panic (the world is coming to an end type); but very quickly realization that only the UFOs can help spreads. (The aliens who come to help are groups of Rayne, Greys, and Greens)
The groups of UFOs, immediately contain the affected areas, while broadcasting on frequencies what they’re doing in the appropriate languages. The panic calms some, mostly because the illnesses are contained, though no one can fully wrap their minds around what’s happening. Concerns of invasion pop up, but are squashed by the Australians.
The Australians are the first to realise it really isn’t an invasion, as they get first row seats to the decontamination taking place within the perimeter set up by the three UFOs. They help the effort by both keeping as many civilians off the affected beaches as possible, and getting professionals to help the larger animals not immediately killed by the asteroid hit.
In Brazil, as the containment area starts to get better (nothing quite like seeing a tree that was almost dead, shift back into healthy very quickly) -- the people come together, native people tell the government troops how the aliens off the UFOs have helped, how they spoke their language, how they treated them, the animals, the trees. Slowly but surely they are convinced to help as well.
Central Europe has a harder time accepting, or understanding what’s going on; in part because of the many cultures in one place. There’s a lot more snarky, sassy dialogue that happens. A lot of the UFOs consistently having to tell different governments that they’re quite aware of how humans tend to react, and that they weren’t stupid enough to show up on Earth only to be vulnerable to gunfire. It takes the reports from the two other affected areas, plus the visual of how people start to recover within the contained area before first civilians come to help, and then governments.
There is ongoing dialogue, but the official reason given for the appearance of the aliens to the aid of humanity, is that the asteroid that broke up in the atmosphere was a “garbage asteroid” knocked out of it’s intended route to be disposed of, thus ending up impacting Earth. The involvement was necessary, as humanity’s technology would not have been fast enough to decode the spreading viruses, that made everything on the planet vulnerable, let alone apply any type of cure. It was an accident, but one that could have led to the destruction of humanity--through no fault of their own and with little to no hope of the species, or the planet recovering without outside help.
However, this official reason given to the general public, is a watered down version of the truth. The aliens stick around, and within two months, a coalition of the world’s governments are gathered under the UN, specifically to incorporate, and find ways for humanity to coexist with aliens--it is officially named United Alien Forces of Earth (for the species involved are alien to each other)....
