It’s October Josie and Dodo

                                           Dress Up Time

Well it is finally October, you know the month that we can go out and trick or treat. When our neighbors decorate their yards for Halloween with witches, ghost, spiders anything that has to do with the spirit of Halloween.

Josie and Dodo, like the month so much that as a matter of fact, October is their favorite month. Dress up time, get their bags filled with treats, the girls get to be out later than allowed.

The trick is a joke while the treat is candy that is why you have to say trick or treat. The creatures you can dress as are ghost, goblins, cartoons, anyone you want to be.

                                 The Night and Werewolves

The nighttime comes earlier, leaves all over the ground. The leaves crunch under your feet, snapping of the twigs. When the wind blows the rustling of the leaves can make you so nervous and afraid. The moon is brighter so that the werewolves might see it and change from human to wolf.

Werewolves love to chase you down, snarling, drooling, growling, and you can see their breath as they run, after you. The wolf is big black and brown with yellow glowing eyes that can see you in the moonlight. Their fangs are so long that just one grab could hold you so that getting away would be hard.

The secret is that, if you stay in the shadows of the dark the werewolve cannot see you. The big yellow glowing eyes you can see but the dark keeps the wolf from seeing you. When you go out remember the shadows will help keep the wolf away.

                           Trick or Treat

Josie and Dodo are walking down the road when they hear hoot,

Hoot, hoot. Dodo sees the owl, Josie screams when she sees the glow of the eyes. The girls run for the shadow and realize it is the owl, and not the wolf. They are laughing as they walk to find a porch.

The girls are walking to the house they see. The yard is full of leave’s. Sound of the leaves crunching and the wind blowing, swoosh, swish, and sound like dragging feet. Then all of the sudden a big wind comes, the leaves spun all around like a tornado, then dropped around our feet. When we opened our eye’s we were standing in front of the house like we were carried there! Wondering what happened just then.

Josie went to the door Dodo rang the bell. As we stood there no one answered, as we turned to walk away, the door slowly opened creaky and squeaky. The noise of the door said, “Who are you.” While we stood there looking this short long gray haired man, holey jeans, ripped shirt said hello. We screamed as we turned away to run, when Josie yelled trick or treat.

Standing at the door shaking as we opened our bags, he said, “don’t you have something to say, ohhh Trick or Treat. He dropped something in the bag, and then Dodo got something. Josie got the trick and Dodo got the treat. We had so much fun that night.
