Paul Robinson's latest update for Ghosts of War: Retribution

Sep 5, 2015

It's Sunday the 6th of September and as it stands now Ghosts of War has 144 followers and is gaining more every day at a steady rate. So that means there's about 100 of you out there yet to make a decision about backing this book, and I guess it's up to me then to convince you. So here's a few things for your eyeballs and eardrums that are both new and things you might have missed.

Audiobook of the first chapter

Fellow Inkshares author Paul Inman has done a great audio reading of the first chapter of Ghosts of War. He really did do a great job and I'm really thankful that he offered to do this for me. Paul's book Ageless was one of the winners of the Sword & Laser competition earlier in the year and he has an entry in the Nerdist comp as well: Motor City Chronicles - Book One: Transgressions. You should totally check them out.

If you haven't had a chance to look at it yet, there's a 100 page, 8 chapter preview of Ghosts you can read right now, for free. It's basically a third of the book and I feel like it gives a good set up of the characters, the story and the world it's set in. I've had many people tell me they've really enjoyed the preview, so I hope you can check it out and that you like it just as much.

Back during the Sword & Laser competition I had some art commissioned to give an idea as to what the characters in Ghosts look like. It was brought to my attention recently that I had never shown the second video. So, here it is along with part one.

The art was done by Brother Baston who you can find on YouTube and DeviantArt.

The New Cover

By now you may have noticed the new cover for Ghosts, well here it is again, just for your eyeballs.

Kinda snazzy no?

Still here? Fantastic.

The goal of this comp is to get into the top 5. Currently I'm a ways away from that, but at the very least, breaking into the top 10 is something that's super easy (like super duper easy).

Remember the 100 of you I talked about at the start? This is where you come in. If each of you were to support me in this and preorder just one copy of Ghosts, I'd be solidly in 7th place.

This would increase the books exposure tenfold and put it within reaching distance of the top 5, which of course is the ultimate goal.

And once we get there, if each of you got just one more person to buy a copy, that would put me comfortably into THIRD.

That's how easy this can be. Five minutes of your time, and asking one friend is all that it will take to get Ghosts of War firmly embedded in the Top 5

I don't want to beg, but this is my future on the line here. Being an author and writing these stories is what I want to do, it's where I want to be. Inkshares is my best shot at doing this right now and you guys that have supported me thus far are the key, you're the ones that will help this across the line. If I could buy all the books I would, but I can't, that's not how it works.

Five minutes of your time could mean a better future for me.

Thanks guys, all your support thus far has meant a lot, keep it comin'.

We can do this.
