Chapter 2 and Chapter 3

DREAM

"So where should we begin our session?" Dr. Kerita asked Alex.

Alex shrugged then said,"I don’t know doc. Oh how about we do one of those things where I go to sleep then tell you my dream?"

Dr. Kerita got an unused look on his face then asked him,"You just want to go to sleep don’t you?" Alex nodded his head and Dr. Kerita sighed. "Fine then. Go to sleep and try not to have a lucid dream,"He said as he started to fill out some papers.

Alex had learned how to give himself lucid dream sometimes, but it wouldn’t work most of the time. He smiled at Dr. Kerita and lied down on the brown leather couch. "Don’t worry doc, I don’t even know how to control my lucid dreams that well. I only know when I am dreaming." He closed his eyes and slowly started to fall asleep.

It was night, not a single star was in the sky, and the moon was covered by clouds. The streets where completely empty and all the lamppost were off. Alex stood on the side walk looking around, and he started to foot steps from a distance. He turned around and saw the guy who had threatened to fight him earlier. Alex got a worried look on his face as he looked for someplace to hide, but as he got closer he showed no sign of noticing Alex. Then he had walked right through Alex making his eyes widen.

"Wwhat?" Alex asked himself. He reached out to touch one of the light post and his hand went right through it. "Oh i get it... I’m like a ghost in this dream... And I’m supposed to follow him... great." He mumbled as he realized what he was supposed to do in this dream.

Alex ran over to the guy so he could catch up and saw that their was a guy with white hair up ahead. ’Well thats something you don’t see normally.’ He thought as he walked over to him with the guy. Once they got closer Alex could see that the man looked quite young that had blue eyes and white hair. He wore a dark blue suit, that almost look liked it was shining.

"Hello Manny. Do you have my payment?" The man asked him. "Your name is Manny?" Alex asked the guy who had threatened him, but knew he wouldn’t get an answer.

Manny shook his head. "Look Ace I just need a bit more time and I’ll" "NO." Ace, the man with white hair, said in a stern voice. "I have given you more then enough time Manny, so now you have two options. 1) You pay in a different way or 2) you play again and bet something worth 300 dollars." Ace said with a smile.

Manny thought it over then said,"I want to play again, but I don’t have anything to bet..."

Ace smirked when he heard him and said,"Oh but you do. You have your life."

Manny got a sacred look on his face and said,"Iif I paid the oother way.......what would I have to do?"

"You’d just have to help my friend with something, thats all. So what will you pick?" "I’ll pay in a different way," Manny said. Ace smirked as he got out an all black cane that had a marble handle. "I was hoping you’d say that." He hit the cane on the floor three times then a puff of light blue engulfed them.

Alex coughed and moved his hand back in forth in an attempt to get rid of some of the smoke around him. Alex looked around and saw that they were in and old abandoned church. Many of the windows broken, dust everywhere, along with spider webs. Then Alex looked to the front and saw three people. one was kneeling in front of some shrine that had replaced the cross that was in there. The other two where sitting in the chairs starring above. Ace walked over and tapped the man who was kneeling on their shoulder.

"Sir, I’ve brought someone who needed to pay me back, and they said that they’d be happy to pay me back by helping you Light."

Light, the man who was kneeling stood up and turned around. Alex saw that he had purple hair, purple eyes, and covered the bottom part of their face with a mask. He walked over to Manny an inspected him.

"Good job Ace. One more sacrifice for ’them’," Light said as his eyes turned a crimson color.

"SacrifAH!" Manny fell to the ground unconscious. Behind him was a black/grey hair that had a bit of purple in it, pink eyes, and an eye patch, that was covered with ruffles, on his left eye.

"Now why did you have to bring someone so ugly to sacrifice? Why couldn’t you bring someone with more beauty?" The man said as he looked at Manny.

"Because pretty people don’t care about gambling since they have their looks." Ace told him.

"Nevermind that. Why did you bring him?" A man, with red hair, that turned black at the tips asked and light purple eyes, asked as he pointed at Alex.

Alex’s eyes widened as he looked at the red headed man. "You can see me? I thought I was a ghost."

Alex was freaking out, but reassured that he was a ghost when he heard the eye patched man say,"Who are you talking about Soul? Ace only brought that pig."

Light gave Soul, the red headed man, a soft look. "Zin I think he’s talking about a ghost. Are you taking about one of your ghost friends Soul? Because we can’t see the person you’re talking about, remember?"

Soul looked down then said,"I guess it is. Anyway lets just sacrifice him then I can talk to you." He looked up at Alex with a smiled which worried Alex a bit.

Zin, the eye patched man, sighed and started to drag Manny to the shrine with the help of Ace. Soul however walked over to Alex.

"Hello my Name’s Soul. What’s yours?" He asked him. Alex felt a bit awkward then said,"Alexander, but please call me Alex." Soul nodded his head then Alex noticed that Ace, Zin, and Light were doing something with some red liquid. "Um, what are they doing?"

Soul looked back and smiled. "Oh they’re just making the preparations to summon our leader.

"Leader?" "He who can kill Death and give Light power." Soul said and Alex nodded his head. "Wait... there are more of you?" Alex asked.

Soul nodded his head and said,"Yes, there’s our leader and then there is also another who is out a lot always getting new sacrifices for our leader. They need much human blood to stay here in this world."

"I see...." Alex said, stating to get a bit worried. "Soul, come! It is time to start the ritual!" Light yelled. Soul nodded his head then looked back at Alex. "You may stay here and meet our leader, or leave. Either way I have a feeling we shall meet again," He said then walked over to the others.

The four formed a diamond around Manny as he laid on the floor with symbols written in blood around him. Alex walked closer to see what they where doing and noticed that they here each holding something. Soul held what looked liked a human skull, Zin held a rose that still had thorns in it so he was getting cut, Ace held a few coins that were stained, and Light held a black dagger that was decorated with a gold handle. They chanted something in another language and Light kneeled down. Their chanting grew louder and some of the objects started to glow.

"Venio nunc DEMON!!! Et renuntia mihi quid occideret mortem virtus Me et in nomine reddet septuplum et omnem hominum vis!!!" Light said, clearly in another language.

After he did a white light appeared to be forming above Manny’s body. Alex’s eye’s widened though as he saw that Light was about to stab Manny. He tried to run over, but when he did he felt a pair of small arms wrap around him.

"Now now Alex~ We can’t have you stop this~ After all you are the one who started this, so why should you stop this?" The person said.

’That voice! I know that voice!’ Alex though. Alex then struggled more to get out of the person’s grip, but the more he struggled it seemed that the person’s grip got tighter. Light stopped chanting and his eyes turned

completely red, and he raised his arms up with the dagger in his hands. He quickly moved it down and then.....

"AHHHHHH!!!!" Alex screamed as he sat up quickly. He was panting and sweating as he looked around.

"Alex are you okay?" Dr. Kerita asked him as he walked over quickly. Alex shook his head. "Nno! I’m not okay! They’re gonna kill him!" Dr. Kerita got a worried look on his face. "Alex no one is going to get killed. You just had a bad dream, your awake now." He told him.

Alex’s breathing slowed down and he looked at Dr. Kerita, with the look of fear on his face. "But it felt so real."

INK CARDS

".......It was so real....."

Alex had his arms wrapped around his legs, which where up against his chest. He

was rocking back and forth, fear all over his face. Dr. Kerita had a worried look on his

face and got Alex a cup of water. Alex’s hand trembled as he reached out for the cup.

As he took a sip Dr. Kerita asked him, "Alex, what did you see in your dream? Who

died?"

Alex looked at Dr. Kerita then took a deep breath. He started to tell Dr. Kerita

everything from when he realized he was like a ghost, to the part about Manny’s

sacrifice. When he explained his dream he started to talk faster, shake more, which

worried Dr. Kerita. At one point Dr. Kerita had to put his hand on Alex’s shoulder and tell

him to calm down many times. Once he was close to the end the volume of his voice

started to get quieter.

Dr. Kerita nodded his head once Alex finished telling him about his dream. He

crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair. "Alex do you know this Manny?"

Alex nodded his head and said,"Yes. He threatened to fight me today, but I didn’t

even know his name. To be fair though I don’t know the name of half the people at my

school."

Dr. Kerita nodded his head then said,"It’s possible that you may have had this

dream because he threatened to fight you. So he died in your dream because you didn’t

want to face him and you might’ve heard his name before in the past and just forgotten

it. The part that gets me though is this Ace fellow, and the rest of them with the cult."

Alex nodded his head. "Okay then Doc..."

Dr. Kerita stood up and grabbed a few ink blot cards. "Alex do you remember what

we did when you first came here?"

Alex nodded his head and said,"Yeah I remember. You just showed me a bunch of

those ink cards, but I didn’t see anything except ink."

"Your correct, but I would like to try them again and see what you see this time,"

Dr. Kerita said as he held up the first card,"What do you see?"

Alex sighed as he looked at the card, thinking that this wouldn’t do anything. But

once he stared at the ink he started to see the ink move around. He rubbed his eyes

then looked at it closely again. It started to take the form of the dagger that Light was

holding. He grabbed the card out of Dr. Kerita’s hand and brought it closer to his face.

"Wwhat..." He said in a scared tone.

Dr. Kerita raised a brow and stared at Alex. "Alex what is it? What do you see?"

Alex put the card down, looked at Dr. Kerita, and said,"It’s the dagger... The ink

changed and made the form of the dagger that Light was holding."

Dr. Kerita tried to grab the card from Alex’s hand, but Alex’s grip on the card was

tight.

"Alex, the card." He mumbled a bit.

Alex looked at his hand then let go. "Oh right... Sorry Doc..."

"It’s fine..." He said as he put the card at the back of the deck. He got out another

one, held up, and asked Alex again,"What do you see?"

Alex took a deep breath then looked at the card. Again the ink started to move

around, making it’s own picture. This time it was the church that he was in. His eyes

widened once more and he tried to back up, but he couldn’t really since he was on the

couch. As he kept staring at the picture it started to look like it was coming out of the

picture, and that the office was turning into the church. Alex shook his head and hit the

card out of Dr. Kerita’s hand, making Dr. Kerita get an even more worried look on his

face. Alex noticed this and looked down.

"Ssorry doc... It’s just that this time I saw the church, and it was like that picture

was turning this room into the church," He told him.

"I see," Dr. Kerita said as he picked up the card and put it under the deck. He

cleared his through then asked Alex,"Would you like to continue this Alex?"

Alex shook his as a way of saying no. Dr. Kerita nodded his head as he put the

cards face down on his desk.

"Alex, can I see your journals?" He asked him. Dr. Kerita knew about his journals,

because when Alex first came he was holding a dark blue journal close to his chest the

entire time.

Alex nodded his head as he grabbed his backpack. He got out a black journal, a

dark blue journal, and a leaf print journal. He walked over to Dr. Kerita and handed them

to them.

"You keep all of them in you backpack?" Dr. Kerita asked as he started to go

though the blue print first.

Alex shook his head and said,"No. I have a red leather journal that I keep at home.

I just carry those three around because when I’m writing in them I sometimes need to

use things that I’ve written in an old journal."

Dr. Kertia tilted his head and asked him,"Why don’t you carry your red journal with

you?"

"Well I use that one to write what I see in my dreams sometimes. I also do that with

these journals, but I just write what the person looks are like and a bits of their

background. In my red journal I draw what the people look like and I do their full

background."

Dr. Kerita nodded his head. He saw a page in the blue journal and stared at it a bit.

"Alex what’s this supposed to mean?" He asked as he pointed at the page.

Alex grabbed the journal and looked at it. On the page was writing that said, ’It’s not you who’s gone mad. It’s the world that’s mad.’

"Oh thats just something I thought of before."

"What made you think of this?"

Alex thought for a bit then said,"Well I guess I thought of that because my parents

sent me here thinking I’m crazy."

Dr. Kerita nodded his head then went though the rest of the journal. Every now and

then he would ask Alex something and Alex always had a good answer for his question.

Then Dr. Kerita got to the black journal. He went through the first couple of pages

without any questions, but then he got to this morning’s page, the one that had the

drawing of the cloaked person. This was the first picture of someone he had found in

the book of someone, not just words to describe their looks.

Dr. Kerita pointed at the picture then said, "Alex who is this?"

Alex looked at the picture then said,"Oh thats.... Thats... Actually I don’t know who

that is. I just drew them because of something I saw this morning."

Dr. Kerita nodded his head then closed the journal. He was about to say

something, but then Rui had walked into the room.

"Hello Dr. Kerita, Alex. Am I intruding on anything?" Rui asked them.

Dr. Kerita shook his head as he gave Alex the journals. "Not at all Rui. We were

just ending the session," He said with a smile.

Rui nodded his head then looked at Alex. "Come on Alex. Lets go now, I have the

homework that your other classmates got at home for you."

Alex groaned as he grabbed his backpack. "Fiiine... See ya after school on wens

day doc."

Dr. Kerita nodded his head then said,"Alex, could you bring your red journal next

time you come? I’d like to see it."

Alex nodded his head. "Got it," He said as he walked out the room.

Rui followed behind him and as he walked out he narrowed his eyes at Dr. Kerita

before he closed the door. He then caught up with Alex, walked out the building, and

and got in their car.

Dr. Kerita stared at them as they drove off. Once they were gone Dr. Kerita walked back to the cards and picked up the two that Alex looked at. When he looked at them he saw the dagger and church. "Oh Alex... Your power grows and you have no clue as to what you are creating in your sleep." He mumbled as he put the cards in a drawer.
