It was mid-winter or was it fall I cannot quite remember, but it was a long time ago. I had just turned thirteen, I was always different from everyone. I mean I have friends, but they are like me, different. 

Now it was time for school. Normally my parents take me there, but today I am walking there with my friends McKenzie, Nicole, Alfredo, and Elija. Like normal, Elija was making goo-goo eyes at Nicole, and me, my name is zero. Now, we all live in a small town named Kometown. We have a small population of about 2,872, but that was last counted over ten years ago. 

We all go to Kome prep middle school, yet Alfredo, McKenzie, and I are all in PRE-AP or AP classes, or harder classes. Nicole and Ethan are in most of the same classes. They all seem so bored here, it is like they come from some other world or place. 

Now every weekend they are all busy, so I am normally all alone. So, I am either at the mall or the local park, but today I went to the local library and went into the back corner to find a book on the top of the shelves. I had pulled up the closest chair and pulled the book off the shelf to get covered in a cloud of dust. Sadly, I started to sneeze everywhere, then once I had stopped, I could see the title ELVISH INVENTIONS. I then went to the librarian and tried to check out this book and to my surprise, the book was not in the system so she said that I could have it if I wanted it and that I can take it home, so I took the book home to find that the contents of this book were in a language that I could not understand and that I did not recognize.
