I carry her underground through the secret passage in the swamp and I take her straight to the infirmary.
’Sebastien?’ I call through our link.
’Yes?’ He answers me sounding kind of tired.
’I need your help. Bring Damien too. I have someone here that he might want to see.’ I tell him. I cut off the link before he can respond but I know he’s on his way. I walk to an isolated room and lay my sister down on the bed. I brush her hair back and feel a small smile come across my face. The door bursts open only minutes later and Sebastien and Damien come into the room.
"What did you need help with?" Sebastien asks me. I step away from the bed to show them my sister laying there. I hear Damien gasp in shock.
"Lily? How? Where was she?" He asks. I look down at my feet and gulp knowing that neither of them are going to like my answer but I hate lying to them.
"She was out in the woods hiding at my house..." I start but Damien cuts me off.
"She’s a spy?! Katherine, what the hell are you thinking?!" He yells at me. I flinch a bit not liking how angry he is with me.
"I helped her. Or at least I hope I did. If what I did didn’t work you can kill her before she gives information to our father." I tell him.
"How did you help her?" Sebastien asks me in a much calmer tone. Which honestly scares me even more. I look up and see his jaw ticked which means that he is also angry at me.
"I reverse brainwashed her." Their faces change from anger to ones of confusion as I start to explain the process of what I did. "I took my good memories of our times together and pushed them into her mind and flushed out all of the bad images that father put in her mind. I just hope that it actually worked." I tell them. They nod in understanding.
"I can do a check if you would like?" Sebastien asks.
"Yes! Please! I need to know if it actually worked. If it didn’t I’m going to feel stupid." I tell him. He gives me a small smile and moves around to where Lily is laying. He leans down and touches his forehead to hers for a few moments before straightening up with a smile.
"She will be fine." He says putting a hand on my shoulder. I feel my heart fall into my stomach because of the excitement and let down from the stress of possibly not being able to save her. I did it and she’s going to be fine.
