Synopsis

The first book in The Call of the Void series, Iron Monsters, is a dark fantasy that follows the life of Aster, a child who has been kept in hiding because of her powers to control the living energy force, ethereal. Once Aster's older brother leaves their quiet little home in the woods, humans and vicious beats called Trackers find her and drag her to live at the notorious ethereal school: The Iron School. Aster's journey to find her brother begins in an ominous and melancholy way. At the Iron School she meets a feral child like her, Zajac, and they plot to escape. The death of a friend takes it's toll on Aster as she has to deal with city life in Keystone, hiding her identity by cross-dressing.

About the Author and Iron Monsters

My stories come to life not because of my words, but because of my characters'. Character's are the breath and soul of a good novel. Iron Monsters is my second manuscript, finished. I grew up in a small town where everything is about farming and drugs. As where other substances became my neighbors' muses, writing became mine. My father is the source of Call of the Void, seeing as he was never around. Parts of the victims' lives are refracted into my writing.

Like most authors, my dream is to focus on writing and do it for a living. Perhaps call if the void will allow me to do so.
