But don’t mistake my work for heroism. I didn’t do this to protect you, or anyone else.

I did it because I had no choice.

Once you’ve heard them, these stories never leave you.

They burrow into your mind, your soul, until you are nothing but a vessel for their survival.

And so, I gathered them here, bound them together, hoping to trap them in this book as they have trapped me.
