So why Being 29?
It's because it is what I am, I am not trying to be anyone, anywhere or anything else. I naturally wanted to call the book 'Nearly 30' but I have a problem with the premise of that on a number of Levels.
1. I would be framing my existence on something that Is not real! a version of me that does not exist and may never exist. I may look forward to it or dread it, but either way it is not real, Being 29 is what is real, at least for another 5 months!
2. It doesn't create a deadline for me as the narrative is inviting me to carry on writing this into being 30 as 30 is in the title not 29.
When I told my friend Vince who just turned 40 last weekend that I was going to try and do this book he said 'It's a great idea but make sure you do it when you are 29 because when you are 30 you won't care anymore as the new chapter will have already begun! I trust Vince's advice but I hadn't found a platform that would work to write on until now!
Last week I was in the Silicon Valley filming in a friends garage for a project I will tell you about later and my friends beautiful daughters Nicole 11 and Chloe 14 were showing me their creative projects. Nicole's is a youtube channel called Toyswelove and Chloe's is a novel which is also on Inkshare.com called 'Vanish' She tells me it is a novel series of 3 and I can't wait to read them. I was inspired by their creativity and productivity -and I owe her thanks for showing me the Inkshare ropes because now the project is going to happen.
I turn 30 on december 5th 2015 and http://days.to/5-december/2015 tell me I have 144 days to go.
I am going to publish whatever I have by my 30th Brithday. If I have written one page then It will be a one page project, if it is 1,000 pages then so be it, but the journey will go on and I need to carry on! Also my funding for givey.com runs out in December so I have no idea what the next chapter will look like, so strike while the iron's hot as they say!
This will be nothing more than my scrap book of stories of people and places I have been, things I have made, thoughts I have had and things I have learned!
